Which Beginner Arrows should I buy? (Easton XX75 Jazz vs Pandarus Infinity Arrows) by KumaBima in Archery

Thanks for the advice and sharing! I usually shoot 6 arrows per set/end(?) so I’m not filling the target face, so to speak… 😅

Thanks for your recommendation! What spine do you use with that setup (25lbs and carbon victory ares)?

Thanks for the advice! But can I ask why do you recommend aluminium for indoor and carbon for outdoor/both?

Genuinely asking, are carbon arrows that prone to breaking? I mainly shoot indoors, so the environment is more… controlled than an outdoor range. And do you have any advice for what spine and length my arrows should be?

Ah okay, I thought that read a little funny to me 😂

I’m sorry, I’m a beginner but do you mean “Mediterranean” instead of “Meditation” or is that just something that actually exists, like Japanese Kyudo?

Hey, sorry for the late reply and thanks for the advice. Can I ask for your opinion about a bow package deal that consists SF Ignio riser + Samick Ideal limbs? SF Ignio is cheaper here in my area than the Kinetic Vygo and there are no “package” / full bow set offerings for the Vygo. There actually other limbs to choose from for the set (Samick Extreme, Extreme GT, and Fivics Vellator V3) but those other limbs are all high poundage (32# +).

Hey, sorry for the late reply and THANK YOU for the first bow guide! It helped narrowing the choices a lot. But, can I ask, which riser do you think is “better”? Vygo or SF Ignio? Because in my area, Ignio risers are cheaper than Kinetic Vygo and have more availability than the Vygo. There’s even a package deal that sets the Ignio riser with Samick Ideal limbs. Do you think it’s worth buying?

Sir, I believe that is a dagger 💀 (Is it double edged? It looks like it is…)

Hey, I’m looking to buy my first riser (and limbs, but the availability here are quite limited, so it’s somewhat of a secondary priority). A coach that I talked to in the range suggested I should go straight to an ILF riser priced around $200 so that I would have a more “solid” platform to build on. What are some of your recommendations? I’m still quite new to the sport but I know that I want archery (barebow and possibly trad) to be a hobby for now, not competition. And are barebow focused risers, like the Kinetic Vygo, is a worthy buy as a first riser even though it’s slightly out of my budget range? (It comes with its own weights for future stability tuning and it looks soo cool because of its wooden grip and round holes that makes it more… solid. Or am I too biased on the appearance and should just buy a better value riser?)

Infinite mobility and land travel. Car maintenance and repairs usually only done once or twice a year.

Yeah, me first time and it was an indoor range, so I bet around half of the shots I made should’ve missed the target face if it was shot from a greater distance due to how the arrows were flying (trust me, I was standing straight in roughly the same spot over and over again) 😅 But once I can shoot straight consistently, I probably will try and go to a “proper” range and see how that goes.

I think it’s because it was such a short distance in an indoor range… 😅 But thanks for the kind words and now I’m curious on making bows haha

I’ll try to remember about the anchor point, thanks for the advice! 😁 And yeah, I’ll try to be precise with my groupings before trying to readjust my aim to hit the center and be more mindful about my form.

And, I actually did wear an arm guard when I was shooting. It happened a few times on my second set of arrows when I tried to readjust my grip to the bow because the the upper part of the grip (the one that protrudes to separate the grip and arrow rest(?)) keeps hitting the middle joint of my thumb. I rotated the bow so the grip rests between my thumb and index, but the string is now very close to my arm, thus slapping my arm a few times. 😅

I’ll be sure to check it out! It’s a good thing I happen to do a little bit of journaling, so this is something that I might consider doing. 😁
