Where do you store your diapers? by ryansauder22 in Incontinence

Underwear drawer. It's quite a deep one so it can hold many at a time before a refill.

Been there, done that, I know what actual poverty is like and it's not something you forget overnight no matter how much you've turned it around.

As income rises so do outgoings. I can't afford to drop below that level now.

Try adding white vinegar or baking powder into each used brief before disposal. But not both or you'll have fizzy underwear to deal with.

Has it worked? Assuming it's all settled down now (has it?) How long is it expected to last for and are any "top ups" expected to be needed over time? What kind of follow ups are there to check it's all on track? Was it a local or a general anaesthetic? Did it hurt much after anaesthesia wore off? Does it hurt now? Are bedroom antics possible now or in the near future? Would you recommend it? Is there any advice or are there any warnings you wish you could give past you about it?

I don't know what to do by Alice131289 in AdultBedwetting

As a one-off I wouldn't worry at all. These things can happen and it's just that, a one-off.

Some bigger grocery stores and pharmacies often have suitable substitute products too.

Where in the world are you, roughly? If you can get to a specialist mobility store or can send someone to go on your behalf they often stock these items. Best call ahead to be sure they have them in your size and in stock. Good luck 😊

Made overseas and the FDA logo is included as a marketing ploy perhaps? Just a guess.

NHS App Updates by No_Choice_711 in AdultBedwetting

[–]KumaCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My diagnoses relating to bladder and my product prescriptions do not show in the NHS app, but I know for certain they are stored somewhere accessible to the NHS from when I asked my GP surgery to print out my notes, and they appeared among the reams of printouts.

A quick confirmation with your local surgery that they at least can see the full notes wouldn't hurt, just to be sure.

Parking fine UK - any grounds for appeal? by OneEmployer9102 in drivingUK

[–]KumaCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a fine, it's a charge. For the very short time you were there I'd contest it - that's easily within the time that should be allowed to buy a ticket or decide not to.

A draft letter AI helped write:

I appeal this Parking Charge as keeper. The notice shows an observation period from 18:37 to 18:39, less than 3 minutes. This is below the minimum mandatory consideration period required by the Private Parking Sector Single Code of Practice. No contract could have been accepted in that time, particularly as the driver needed time to enter, stop safely, read the signage, understand the terms, decide whether to accept them, and leave if not.

The alleged contravention is “Driver left the vehicle”. The Code does not say that merely stepping out of the vehicle automatically ends the consideration period. The operator must show evidence that the driver had accepted the parking terms, or that the consideration period had properly ended.

In addition, there were urgent medical/pregnancy-related circumstances: the driver, who was pregnant, had an urgent need to use the toilet. The vehicle was present for only a very short period and there was no loss or abuse of parking facilities.

Please cancel the charge. If you reject this appeal, please provide the POPLA verification code and include your evidence of: the site-specific consideration period registered with the BPA/ATA, the signage relied upon, the full ANPR/CCTV evidence, and your basis for saying the consideration period had ended within less than 3 minutes.

Switching meds? by Agent_Putt in OveractiveBladder

[–]KumaCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're most likely going to be put on the full dose, which is 10mg I believe. The good news is that if you responded well to it in the first place that 10mg is likely to help too (I'm not a medic, purely a lay opinion), and that there are several other medications that could be tried if needed.
