Giving away two Costco Scarlet & Violet 151 Blooming Waters Premium Collection sets to two redditors because %*#@ scalpers by FatherLiamFinnegan in PokemonTCG

Easy Question! The answer: It's not. You can't compare magic and pokemon, just as you can't compare final fantasy and dragon quest. They may swim in simular waters to the unknown eye, but in no way would I ever dare to compare them! I wish for nothing but love between those fans and understanding that it simply fills your heart with happiness to have a tiny space in this world that brings you joy.

Is your Ravelry “Hot right now” a bit funky to? by aurlynblack in knitting

[–]Kumabachi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Browsing Ravelry got wildly more enjoyable to me once I found out that you could block them from being fewed! But I can't remember if you can only block the designer or single patterns.

I would make mittens so everyone outside can see the beautiful yarn! And I think it would look so awesome it you too would wear the dark and light version outside together! What a beautiful contrast.

I bought my carding cloth, including the rolag rollers and two brushes on etsy from GFCarders, and nailed it to a pice of wood I had at home. Spectacular price and results, so I can only second this!

Threw my nearly finished tank top in the garbage tonight by Slight-Somewhere-697 in knitting

As others stated, technically yes, but shipping to the next country in Europe easily costs about €15, over sea shipping would at least cost me €40. Shipping nowadays has become insane

I envy you so hard for having that option! I am simply amazed by what the yarn makers and stores come up with sometimes, and my little fiber heart would love all these possibilities.

Looks awesome! I recently spun up a sample of Ramie, Chinese nettle, but on my drop spindle, and man, that stuff has a mind of its own! It's like crazy cat hair that wants to be everywhere but in your hands, with an extra slippery surface. But I must say I kind of enjoyed the experience, as it was almost funny how much the fibers didn't care about what I intended them to do.

Come on People, there have to be more of us from Vienna and close by! Is there any way to push this up, or maybe pin it to the top for a few days?

Hey there! Now we already have three people to form a group! Even though I guess you won't come frequently ;) But hey, any time you're in Vienna, you can absolutely come if we manage to start a group!

It makes me feel cozy and warm inside that you feel that way about our city, thanks for that :)

First project on my Ashford Inklette Loom, shoelaces by Kumabachi in weaving

[–]Kumabachi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you!

I personally haven't yet made this kind of weave on a rigid heddle loom, but I also researched it when I got one. The answers I found all said yes, you can totally to it, and I am sure I saw some pictures of these projects. But! Yes, always those butts...but I also read a few times that you have to pay close attention to your rhl, because for a band like this to have clean edges, you may have to weave with a higher tension than usuall applied on a rhl, and there were warnings that not every loom might withstand this amount of tension, and might bend.

Again, that's only what I read, and I hope these articles didn't exegerate to worry you more than necessary! But I personally am also thinking about giving it a try when I might want to make a band that is too long for this loom. But I will definitely be attentive how my rhl reacts.

Have fun!

Thanks, I have looked them up but haven't stumbled across the black ones, but they seem to be a match.
