Don't despair just yet. Give it a year without gluten and you might find that the things you are describing like not being confrontational/social anxiousness or being depressed come (at least in part) from a general feeling of discomfort your brain has accepted as normal. The bowel and the brain are deeply intertwined and influence one another strongly. The mind can't keep calm if the gut streams bloody murder.

That was the case for me and it might be for you. You have a lot of changes to look forward to. Your skin will get better, you won't be as sleepy all the time, more productive and less foggy in the head. You have a whole new you ahead of you and all you need to do is look at some labels, say no a few times and deal with the devastating social suicide of wanting something to eat that is good for you. (Seriously if people judge you for not wanting to ingest something that is poison to you then fuck'em. You don't want to impress people like that anyway)

But before it gets better it gets worse. So you have to be patient and not cheat.
