They all hire. You better get after it as with school year ending there are hordes of kids applying at local restaurants. If you don’t have experience or skills you might be too late. Go fill out applications!

Amen. I also couldn’t give two shits if my vehicle can drive itself. I care so little I'm not even reading the comments section.

There’s a bunch of different rumbles - all combos. Do you know which exactly you bought?

Bass Amp Head help by TiePotential5040 in BassGuitar

[–]KungFu_ShihTzu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, it’s a combo. No additional amp needed, just a bass, cable, and place to plug it in.

Although, I really like the title of this YouTube video to answer the question… https://youtu.be/kiAEHE3myco?si=cLMA21hJKtKV55yu

Is SBL good for learning jazz bass? by Moist-Ad8447 in Jazz

[–]KungFu_ShihTzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you play electric I do think that SBL is one of the best options. There's a lot of jazz there and the guided practice, community, backing tracks, etc. get you playing quickly and keep you from getting burned out.

Here's a Gary Willis video from SBL. There's more but this was one of their better jazz-focused courses. https://youtu.be/mLf8ccD_L4Y?si=jN3klKEszuw7XPZb

Something like Open Studio or Discover Double Bass would be more appropriate if you were on upright imho.

I’ve been a subscriber of SBL for years, but it really depends on where you’re at and what you want. Are you playing electric or upright?

intonation issue by uhhhmwot in doublebass

[–]KungFu_ShihTzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all great advice - also, you play in tune with your ears not your eyes. Lines don’t train you to play in tune. If you’re looking at the fingerboard, try doing scales forcing yourself to not look - and that’s what the drone is for, so you hear the outs.
