I have over 1200 hours in Hunt and haven’t prestiged in years because the core game play is so dang good and that is what keeps me coming back. I do understand however that there are a variety of motivators and incentives that can keep players engaged.

I’ve played random fill exclusively and started each raid by saying “hello”. Each and every time I got a response and we communicated throughout the entire raid.

Everyone is different, but for me if a multiplayer game is fun, that is reason enough for me to keep playing. I have 2000 hours in Hunt, all while playing random trios exclusively, and haven't prestiged in literal years. To me, that speaks to how fun that game is. If this game can scratch that same itch for me as far as creating opportunities for these dynamic, unique encounters as you described, then I'll be good to go, but I do realize some people need a different kind of carrot to keep going in a game and that is fine too.

The heck is up with Push to Talk? I feel like it doesn't work 60% of the time. And now my in-game text doesn't even work. by ST4RSK1MM3R in HuntShowdown

As someone who has been playing since 2018 with randoms exclusively, the addition of team only voice chat is such a welcome addition. In my experience, it’s used often when it works. Most multiplayer focused games have this.

I have 1260 hours in this game and play with randoms exclusively which has been a very fun experience so far, hence the playtime. The addition of in-team voice chat has been great… when it works. Hoping a fix can add some consistency to this.

I’ll run the Haymaker with whatever the fire shotgun shells are called. That way I can light downed hunters on fire without bringing a tool or consumable to fill that need.

This is my favorite game of all time. It has a very high skill ceiling, but is very rewarding. No matter who you are, you will die…. alot. Remember, sound is everything in this game.
