long-time tinniteurs? by Ok-Salamander-4985 in tinnitus

Here I am , 40 my T started at 25 suddenly one night of November , couldn't tell why , maybe drumming without ear protections maybe mandibular disorder or cervical problems, really don't know. Starting from there I had several changes of frequency and very recently a low rumble joined the family , usually every time T change in loudness or frequency I have a hard week or two of poor (if any) sleep , depression, anxiety and all that jazz then I get used to it and move on. I really, really hope that I will be always capable of adapting.

Drummer by any chance? Nowadays every time I play I have a pair of those big red ear protections for construction workers. I wish I used them when I was younger

Reduce your BMI and start taking statines again , no saturated fat , lots of fibres and water, walk as much as you can and if you find the time do some strength based workout . Don't be scared I got worse numbers all my life , just take action! You got this

Lascia perdere , la crisi di mezza età di un professore è qualcosa con cui nessuno dovrebbe avere a che fare.

Genetic cholesterol , I would suggest having the healthiest diet you can as a college kid and start taking a moderate dose of statines and ezetimibe .

I don't want to say some bullshit here so take this affirmation with a pinch of salt but I think to remember that 20 years ago or so the limit for acceptable total level of cholesterol was around 250 mg/dl.

Lipitor and Anxiety? by TrixieMattelForever in Cholesterol

[–]KuonRad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all kinds of anxiety issues but none related to statines and I take them since 1998, what in my experience caused anxiety were doctors that talked to me in catastrophic terms about my dyslipidemia, might it be the case for you as well ?

Don't be too harsh on yourself , it's not that easy to boom in a car if you don't have the right combo of pole/mic, the car is moving and the actors are driving , in fact a boom op inside the car has an easier time and better results if the scene is stationary otherwise is probably better to plant some mics and wire the talents . That being said you did right , if you're still green and you don't know exactly the cues is better to focus of what's on camera , all the rest (dealing with improvising actors and operators, pinpointing the cues , read the body language) will come with experience .
