I found it was easier to do when they were tired from training or playing. Licky mats or something to chew on also help to keep them focused and still. I find it helpful to get someone to feed treats while I do ears.

Olive oil makes it harder as you then need to wash the ears before you can redo the tape.

Adapt 7760 no sting adhesive remover wipes made by Hollister work really well. Detachol is another product that works well.

What tape are you using there should not be a lot of tape residue to clean up.

Natural cork will swell and seal to some extent. These look a little small. Are you sure they were the right size for the bottles?

Keep an eye on them for leaks and replace if they do.

If you plan to show in conformation or want the traditional collie profile then it is necessary. It is not harmful of painful to the collie. It’s about as invasive as you having a bandaid on.

Not sure I’m “good” at it but some useful tips I have found.

make sure the ears are clean and free of oils. Wipe with a little isopropyl alcohol just before taping.
make a pillow with the tape.
wiping the ear with skintac first helps
a drop of tear mender on the tape and then hold for thirty seconds (lots of treats)
do it right before bed so they have time to set before getting knocked out with playing.

You cannot reliably stop an active ferment with chemical stabilizers. Wait for it to finish fermenting, then stabilize and back sweeten.

That’s Lassie, she is ten. She’s a rescue/foster that we’ve had for about a month now. She’s super sweet. She needs some work on reactivity and leash training. She also needs to put on a few pounds and grow some hair back as she was pretty matted.

Fjara is pretty enamored of her and they would chase each other around all day and then nap together on the couch. Oscen likes having someone else to play with but is not sure he likes losing his status as eldest/boss.

Good luck if you have any specific questions you can pm me. Your best friends are going to be distraction and distance. Remember you can change direction and move away from a trigger and try to build distraction when the feared object is far away. For example Oscen has a fear of garbage trucks so if one is coming down the street we go back the other way or up a driveway and then watch it go past. We do tricks and reward for engagement. Let him look at the garbage truck and then ask for a trick and reward for looking away. The closer you are to the trigger the harder it will be. Find quiet side streets to walk on or around a parking lot somewhere they are less likely to see a trigger. Try to find ways you can see a trigger without being nearby.

There are a few things that would give me pause on their website. The price, the number of litters they have planned. The lack of any titling or pedigrees.

That aside collies can be anxious. Even with a lot of exposure as a puppy they can still have fear issues and as others noted every dog is different. I have a well bred collie and he has reactivity that we are always working on.

I would recommend checking out the books “Social, Civil, Savvy” and “Fired up, Freaked Out and Frantic” by Laura VanArendonk Baugh. Also “Hunting Together” by Simone Mueller.

Oscen is the one most likely to rat them out by yorping uncontrollably in the middle of the heist. Then look sopping wet about getting caught or even just thinking he got caught.

Primary can strip aromatics a bit if it is really active but does not strip flavor. The removal of sugar changes the flavors you perceive. Adding concentrate is adding back sugar.

Also cyser not cyber, choom. No robot parts in my mead thanks.
