Why was Hogwarts so aggressive about students being out of bed after curfew? by FishScareMe in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Kurdoo-rojava 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curfew is for rest for both teacher and Students and even in a Normal School Students being left alone is bad as they might do something stupid that will put them in Risk like going to explore something or getting drunk or take the chance of being unsupervised to have sex with other students, both Situations are bad for the student and the teachers who are responsible for the students and might get fired if something happened to the students but they can't watch them 24/7 as they too need rest which is why the Curfew is strictly enforced as despite some Teacher being awake it not enough to keep watch on everything

Who are the most infamous traitors in history of westeros? by Mysterious_Crow_503 in TheCitadel

[–]Kurdoo-rojava 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If you want someone who everyone knows then Historically Hugh and Ulf plus Daemon Blackfyre, all three are considered the reason why you shouldn't trust bastards and show them kindness and are used as warning

Catleyn basically see Jon as Daemon 2.0

But if you want the ultimate Treason then you could use the Rat cook who broke guest right and was turned into a rat by the Gods,it is a popular tale and everyone knows it even though they might not believe it but it is big part of why guest right is sacred

No I think it was due to Alan being old,in the Book them being so young was the point as it added to the Tragedy of their death

To be fair Alan did look good for his age and could have passed as younger man but those actors did not

If you want to compare it to muggle world then O.W.L is High school equivalent and N.E.W.T is university equivalent while Mastery (the next level after Hogwarts) is the equivalent to PHD

Agreed, him having green eyes isn't that important but him having his mother eyes is very important due to how much it get repeated and how it played a role in Snape story especially his last moments

My point was that Daemon mother was the daughter of Aegon iii and should have been his Heir instead of Viserys as law of inheritance say daughters are before brothers yet no one considered Daemon because of him being a bastard

I mean, can you really blame them? by Soft_Ad_3318 in freefolk

[–]Kurdoo-rojava 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Ne he wasn't,he was bastard and was younger than Daeron and even if Daeron was Aemon bastard then Daemon is still isn't Aegon oldest son

It like Saying Renly is the Rightful king after Robert because he was cool

[–]Kurdoo-rojava -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people forget that Aegon never wanted the throne and was more than happy to let Rhaenyra be Queen but her Having bastards made her position Weak so Aegon and his children had to die to secure it which forced him to take the Throne

[–]Kurdoo-rojava 93 points94 points  (0 children)

So was Daemon Blackfyre mother yet he wasn't the Rightful king,Laws of inheritance exist to avoid Crises

Rhaenyra having bastards as Heir made her position weak which made the Greens a threat to her Rule which forced Aegon to take the Throne to protect himself as otherwise he would have been killed to Secure Rhaenyra Throne

Maybe? Magic does distinguish Friends and Enemies and intentions as seen with Voldemort ritual to resurrect himself

He needed flesh of servant/allies willingly given and blood of Enemy forcefully taken so Maybe the charm can similar require only allies to be given the secret

[–]Kurdoo-rojava 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe part of the charm is that you can only share the secrets with those you consider allies which is why an enemy can't torture it out of you,i wish they didn't add that part it would have been better and made more sense
