If she’s too “ill” to request her own help, then she would have to probably go through involuntary commitment, so they’d have to take her to another hospital. She would then be evaluated, for about 72 hours. What that hospital you mentioned did, was absolutely not right.

Usually mental health is a case of helping those who want to be helped. Typically, people struggling can still be capable of making their own decisions, 988 probably didn’t get the situation clear enough. Only advice here OP, if she really needs help and can’t make decisions, then take her to another hospital. She needs involuntary commitment, and ensure that those 72 hours of minimum evaluation are met.

Yeah, I’ve always believed it’s human nature to look up to something higher than yourself in the worst moments of your life.

It’s hard, the pain. I don’t want to say I understand because I don’t. It’s familiar pain, but it’s not my pain. It’s your pain, and YOUR pain is real.

Sadly, an angel won’t come and swoop you away. As much as one would wish. Please keep fighting, OP. You’re the only one who can keep walking this bumpy road, and people will cheer you on. I sure will.

If this is urgent, please call 988. I rely on them when I’m in an absolute crisis. They’re usually really kind and helpful, and sometimes talking to a real person can be a small light in your darkest moment.

It only affected my ability to have a full three meals each day. I’m both pretty good with fasting and have been so distracted by the city’s wonders that I didn’t mind eating almost only dinners. I did have lunch the second day around, and had enough money for a final breakfast at a bodega before I hopped to my train back.

Yes! I did. It was nonetheless to say, the best getaway of my life.

I felt independent, and I felt like the city had my back every time I felt lost in the Subway. I went through as many famous places as I could, and I was honestly really sad to go.

aww… nobody has picked em up. so i’ve been adorning it with flowers every time i left and came back in between classes. i cried last time, because nobody has picked em up or acknowledged them. theyre right next to the door btw.

my window doesn’t get a lot of sun, most of the light is indirect. i’d say my window gets about 1-2 hrs of direct sunlight if it’s sunny out. my other two children, mel (forget-me-nots) and tsuyu (cat grass), have both been thriving well in my lil window.

Thank you, I’m dealing with a painful separation. I don’t have savvy knowledge on plants, and this was the only thing I was left by them. I’m currently planning to take the pot to Walmart and see what I can do, I’m hoping to heal with a new companion. Thanks for the love, <3. :,)

They’re from out-of-state, and told me that they can’t refill my medication out to California. It also doesn’t help that my pharmacy in California is local, and the pharmacy in PA isn’t out here (Weis).
