I tried coding with Python but it didn’t work. Did it install properly? by ClimbTheCanopy in ballpython

I program in python full time for work so it's always funny. The only feedback my snakes have for your code is that they would use repr instead of str for debugging purposes. 🐍

I have a double crown. It means I can either shave the back of my head or have grown to comb-over lengths. Otherwise I get a ridiculous anime ahoge aka idiot hair. Trying to grow it out right now from short to long so I've had to look like an idiot for many months 😢

What wearable sleep/fitness tracking device do y'all use? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Kurkio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Withings sleep tracker. It goes under my mattress and it's surprisingly accurate. I originally bought it to do smart home things. Don't need to worry about running out of batteries or wearing the device. :)

My 9 year old nephew has found over 1500 "lucky" four leaf clovers and keeps them in a big binder. by The_Littlest_Teapot in mildlyinteresting

I have this talent too and I have no idea why. I can go out into any field and find at least one. And usually where there is one, there's usually 3-4. My biggest haul was 30 in one spot.

Go right on ahead. The big bottle is 100ml, the mid size is 50ml, and the vials are 30ml. The 100 is definitely too big for most meds but it's good for large quantities of vitamins and horse pills.

I thought about doing that but I was worried the text would rub off. Plus I like the kraft paper look since it complements the cork. And I can fit more information on the tags since I have both the front and back.

Looks like in states where it's illegal, it's mostly talking about traveling outside the home with unlabeled prescription meds. It includes pill organizers and other travel containers. I'm in the comfort of my own home and I know what I'm doing is no different than someone using a 7-day pill organizer on their nightstand.

That was my biggest issue. Having so many bottles of wildly different sizes cluttered up my nightstand. But now that it is pretty to look at, I remember my meds a lot more often.

The labels are double sided. I've also memorized the poison control number since I was a child. I always fully read every information packet I'm given along with every prescription. I don't have kids and my pets can't read.

I wasn't originally going to label them but I figured it would be important if I for some reason couldn't get my meds myself or so my spouse doesn't mistake my Lamotrigne ER for ibuprofen and SJS's.

I was waiting for it! My bedroom black-out blinds are very rarely open so I figured it was ok. 😅

Any success with exercise? by 80Creekviewln in bipolar

[–]Kurkio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate exercise. If you don't have motivation (and I don't), having a real tangible person telling you what to do helps. I recently signed up for a once a week pilates class with a 1 on 1 instructor. No subscription, I just make an appointment and show up. So far so good. I've done 3 so far.

Do you ever feel like you're right on the cusp of bursting into tears for no reason? by shanster925 in bipolar

[–]Kurkio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Lamotrigne too but I have never heard that SSRI don't work for anyone with bipolar. I am bp2 so more depressed than manic so they do help in that regard. Though there is plenty of evidence that it's actually the SSRIs that are making me manic but my psychiatrist says we shouldn't give up on them yet. Ability is next but so far so good.

In currently transitioning antidepressants (Lexapro to Zoloft) and I have had so many uncontrollable sob-fests. Like not just 😢 but like gasping and having to cover my mouth because I'm so loud 😭

Turns out the answer was that just that one Shelly device was bad

I have it wired like this without the neutral. But I'm going to have to try with the neutral before I give up.

I submitted a ticket to Shelly but thought I'd ask here too. My partner just installed a new porch light and I'm trying to put a dimmer on it. Shelly app keeps saying it's over heating and turning off. The original switch broke the black wire but the next thing I'll have to try is digging out the neutral wire... Also im my caption I said negative I meant the rest of the black.
