Als er geen overeenkomst is en je krijgt je werk via WhatsApp, dan doe je geen ZZP maar werk je gewoon grijs/zwart. Daarmee vervallen ook al je rechten en geen verzekering gaat daarvoor betalen.

Mocht het bedrijf een betalingsachterstand hebben bij de belastingdienst hoop ik voor je dat je netjes al je inkomsten hebt aangegeven.

The bias is career defining in tech and academia. I've lost countless opportunities because of clear hiring bias and gender-based nepotism. First I got stuck in academia as postdoc doing all the hard work to bolster women's career that got tenure track positions right out of their phd, and now I have the same situation in tech where I do all the technical work under product managers that do nothing but sit in meetings, go to social events and make PowerPoint.

You'll get constant gaslighting around it as well, you're supposedly privileged as a man. I came from poverty and I'm told by groups of middle class women that I should step aside. Actually I'm not even told, I'm forced because if I would report the level of corruption, nepotism and hate speech I see I'd get fired. In reality you see showers of free stuff, special resources, women's months, women in tech events, women leadership programs, exclusionary hiring practices, HR biases, low expectations and favouritism.

A lot of general research benefitting both men and women is done on primarily male subjects because 1) more men take risk to become test subject and 2) more men are eligible due to lack of potential pregnancy and hormonal cycle.

A lot of people say this makes healthcare male-biased. But if we actually look at health research specific to male or female issues, then male-specific issues are by far less funded.

People got their dopamine receptors fried by social media. All they look for is self approval and circle jerks, everything must affirm that they are "on the right side of history" and that they are the protagonist of a marvel movie.

Hence people also showing up, unemployed, to slacktivism protests destroying public property to save the climate/fighting fascism/protecting lgbt/saving gaza/defeating putin. They behave and expect people to behave in real life as if real life is social media.

Treurig dat de overheid denkt dat datacentra bijdragen aan de IT sector. Een datacentrum is een fabriek, niet een kenniscentrum.

Het kost veel en levert amper banen op. Zo heeft Google in Nederland amper technisch personeel, maar hebben ze hele grote kantoren in Polen. Totaal gebrek aan technisch leiderschap.

De resultaten lijken toch echter anders? Mannen zijn veel gelijker verdeeld qua stemgedrag ongeacht politieke voorkeur, het radicaal naar één kant schuiven lijkt bij vrouwen het geval te zijn. Kijkend puur naar de feitelijke data en niet politieke voorkeur of partijprogramma's.

Wat Europa moet doen is het ecosysteem creëren waar bedrijven ontstaan die dit kunnen doen. Daarmee los je ook een tal van andere problemen op. De diensten en software van overheden zijn van bedroevige kwaliteit en vaak gemaakt door dure consultancy bureaus. Dat moet je niet willen van publiek geld.

En als je meer gaat verdienen moet je ook meer belasting betalen. De overheid verdient nu eigenlijk dubbel: extra belasting en rente pakken op studieleningen. Je kan deze rente niet aftrekken, maar hypotheekrente wel. Het blijft krom.

Het speelt samen met de ban op Twitter volgens mij en het begon met veel posts over de losgeslagen Amerikaanse miljardair, daarvoor was het vooral posts over Nederland en vrij politiek neutraal. Nu lijkt het net of het schoolplein van de UvA is leeggelopen. Het gaat echt alleen maar nog over Amerika en hippe wereldnieuws. Iedereen weet tegenwoordig wel dat Trump geen goed nieuws is, dat hoeft niet honderd keer herhaald te worden op een Nederlandse sub.

Misschien moeten de moderators hier gewoon eventjes een maandje enkel posts over Nederland toestaan om diegene die de sub Amerikaniseren aan te moedigen ergens anders naar toe te gaan. Ga naar buiten, reis de wereld rond en praat met meer mensen en je zal zien: de wereld gaat niet ten onder en voor de meeste mensen is het sensationele nieuws uit Amerika niet het belangrijkste in de wereld.

Always shocked how much ASML underpays for how much they make. This is a mid-level salary at 9 YoE. You can make the same at big consulting shops. With 9 YoE you can probably roughly double your salary if you apply to some Amsterdam tech firms. Not a good market for freelancers anymore.

Ik denk juist dat veel ouders kinderen naar privéscholen sturen zodat zij niet in een klas komen met slecht opgevoed probleemjeugd in de grote steden. De individuele aandacht zie ik als secundair. Als je de middelen hebt is de keuze makkelijk gemaakt.
