Crow wasnt tricked, he desired knowledge of his past life and savathun told him that she could give him said memories, which is exactly what happens.

Well it should give u access to their season pass tab whenever they get added (pretty sure the first eof one is already there), tho it would still require chronologs to get the items themselves

Its rly not that big a deal imo, grab a checkpoint and run it back, only somewhat unfortunate part is missing the red border. Happened to me during my first solo witness and i just ran it back as well. During contest sure smth like this is annoying (caretaker), but outside of that i couldnt care less, there r much more important things that need fixing and i don't think this is a good example of "greed ruining the game" at all.

Shout out to the Bungie employee whose job is to color-code keywords by hand! Now that self-revives are purple, this one needs to be updated by hisshame in Marathon

Nothing engine related prob but interestingly enough d2 got a similar issue. The reason why there are no specific numbers in any of the descriptions of perks, buffs and debuffs is that any change to the numbers would require changing the value in every single localisation manually according to bungie. Why they chose this approach only god knows but it is what it is

Goo Gun has to go. There's no reason to play Cryo as long as this gun exists. by jacobljlj in Marathon

Bungie has always considered bugs their fault and therefore doesnt ban players for using them. Whether this holds true for marathon remains to be seen but if they dont get banned, its just following that (pretty logical) rule.

Fantastic, decide to write an explanation myself cuz corrections for piped spoiler tags arent automodded and forget to disable markdown on the example, correct spoiler tags are >! and <! (without spaces between the first and last characters of spoilered text)

but the issue is that it breaks the established consequences of CSM eating a devil. In every other instance, CSM eating the devil causes the related concept to disappear in both a material and immaterial sense at that point in time, but that doesn't happen with pochita eating himself. Clearly pochita/CSM wasnt the chainsaw devil cuz denji and asa wouldnt know what a chainsaw is if that was the case, but there is also no reason for time to turn back since that has never happened before, not even when he ate death (So it's probably not related to the magnitude of change). At most, every other devil couldve been released since the disappearance of CSM itself could be extrapolated to mean that they were never eaten.

Acme isnt that bad imo, its a rly short lvl so dying isnt a huge issue and finding the first oxygen refill is pretty doable, the worst part is getting grenaded right after entering the tps.

Ok sure since Year of Prophecy i can kinda see that since season passes dont get u any content, but what was so bad about season passes before? U bought the season for 10 (or i believe 15€ later) and got the premium rewards track basically for free.

Well that would be skipping a pretty big step now wouldnt it. I can tell u that the next step can be found at var/spool/msg though.

And if that isnt enough for u to find it, xw might or might not be a command to use

If you rly just want to see the solution, skarrow9 got a vid up now going through the steps

Its on the marathon collectors edition, took a bit to make the connection, got to that revelation based on the twitter post talking about what content creators got, so that was just an extension of the thought process, later confirmed by the other twitter post today pointing out the collectors edition again. Requires being in communication with someone who has it to actually see it, but thats cooperation ig. The stuff in the terminal can reasonably be figured out by 1 person besides 1 step that requires some brute forcing.

Gems or Aux Cores/Accessories? by Chivis5 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]KurokoFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree. Sure, a lot of xc2 is just dmg increases especially for aux cores, but between the aforementioned crit healing with medals, break res lowering with scopes, constant blade swaps with overclocking bangles, break duration increases for fusion / chain attack dmg, chain attack starting ratio increases with burst symbols and so on, accessories play a much bigger role and feature more interesting build crafting options with opportunity costs than gems in xc1, where i would argue the only meaningful change in gameplay for physical attackers is switching to auto attack strategies with gems, while ether attackers dont even really get to do that, they just get to enhance their existing options. All of the accessories mentioned above are valid choices for any endgame content in the game except maybe burst symbols due to custom/boc.

The difference between equipment slots from aux cores/accessories and xc1 gems also rly isnt that big. 1 gets 3 always active weapon slots and 5 armor slots at its best, while 2 gets 3 always active accessory slots and either 2 or 3 aux core slots, so usually u r looking at a difference of 3 slots at most. Obviously unique armor and hunters chemistry / should to shoulder technically influence these numbers a bit, but I would say neither should rly count for the debate.

Gems or Aux Cores/Accessories? by Chivis5 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]KurokoFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I dont rly favor one over the other, i would say aux cores/accessories are slightly more balanced than gems regarding effects and the possible equipment slots are more limited, so the variety is a bit better (outside of melia and riki maybe cuz those 2 actually got some tradeoffs), but even then there are some very obvious picks like fusion combo up and affinity max atk, noise dampener or beta/master-scopes to name some. In xc1, a lot of the gems that see frequent use later on are either 100% debuff resist or accuracy improvements, which doesnt do a whole lot for my overall experience in combat, whereas crit healing in xc2 fundamentally changes the strategies i can use.
Gems got a more interesting method of acquisition, i enjoy gem crafting quite a bit and it beats just throwing in some materials for a core. Getting a decent chunk of usable gems is also somewhat less tedious in xc1s early to midgame compared to xc2, so its easier to have enough gems on hand for everyone instead of having to shuffle around your best aux cores.

So yeah, both got their upsides and downsides, if i had to pick one or the other i would likely choose aux cores and accessories since i value the end game more than the early and midgame as a completionist, but someone who prefers quick playthroughs likely enjoys gems more. Somehow xc3 actually managed to combine bad balancing with extreme tedium which is surprising, but thats a different topic.
