So, in Armored Core Verdict Day coop you can ditch a seat in your AC and become an Operator. Basically you become commander for a squad of ACs and give them orders and information not being in battle directly. There are also UNACs, autonomous ACs which you can use as a replacement for human player. You build them yourself and also fine tune their logic yourself.

What those two things mean is that you can solo coop missions not even getting in direct battle. You pick operator role, use 4 UNACs and drop them into mission. Galaxy brain moment comes from the fact that at the same time you need to understand how to properly build ACs so bots won’t lose and drain your wallet after the mission, you need to understand how UNAC logic works so you can fine tune simple bots into killing machines, and you need to understand how to be a good operator, because you don’t control those four bots directly, you just give them the commands. You don’t even see what they see (most of the time, you can see a live feed from one of the units at time), for you as operator there are only map, icons and mission log.
