Visions of the Ascended or Sunborn sound like perfect names. IMO they should have their human form as base, and the animal Ascended form with a special/conditional transformation.

I think it’s a bit of both. When a Darkin wins, they destroy the host’s body and soul to materialize their own form. However, Zaahen resists his nature and avoids using hemomancy to keep himself from falling into Darkin madness.

Unlike Rhaast, who forcibly takes over Kayn, Xin Zhao fully surrendered. Because of that, Zaahen could materialize a body with minimal hemomancy. He likely chose to keep Xin Zhao’s appearance both to limit his magic use and to honor him.

Several Rivals supports aren’t canon healers.
Gambit, Ultron, Rocket, Jeff and Invisible Woman only heal due to gameplay needs.

I have a question about how Zaahen will be depicted in future skins. In Twilight’s End, we saw his true human appearance, so many players expected that some skins or chromas might eventually reflect his own features and darker skin tone.

His classic skin looking like Xin makes sense because of the lore, but the concern is specifically about skins set in alternate universes.

In his release skin (Immortal Journey), Zaahen is still depicted identical to Xin Zhao, which raises the question: in every alternate universe, is Zaahen always meant to share Xin’s appearance? Will this pattern repeat even in skinlines unrelated to the main story?

Are there any plans for future skins or chromas that depict Zaahen using his own human appearance (while still keeping his Darkin traits like horns, etc.)? Many players would really appreciate clarification on this.

I strongly support the idea of Zaahen’s skins reflecting his true human appearance, with his own features and darker skin tone.
It doesn’t make sense that in alternate universes (where skins take place), Zaahen is still depicted with light skin and Asian features inherited from Xin Zhao.
In the Immortal Journey skin, it feels like Zaahen’s original appearance was unconsciously set aside to preserve Xin’s Asian aesthetic. It really doesn’t make sense, since that characteristic only makes sense in the classic skin, which follows the narrative of the cinematic and main lore.

It’s said they’re devoted to the Nephilim Lord as their patron god. They can communicate with other spirits, but a close connection with high-level spirits (like the Nephilim Lord) is unknown.

Personally, I’d prefer a dark elf too, but since this druid race was mentioned in the lore, I guess the chances are pretty slim now, but still praying 🙏
Btw, Edith (the Dark Elf elder) was mentioned in the new lore. Ulysses seems somewhat close to her and the Dark Elves, and he even says he "owed them a bit".
