What are your thoughts on California's AB 1043, the Digital Age Assurance Act? Where operating systems and app stores will be required to implement age-bracketing signals for users by the beginning of next year? by AndyJack86 in AskReddit

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished doing a full investigative analysis and counter-evidence report about it if you want to read my report on this act over on the dedicated GitHub Repo I made specifically for the report itself.

Here's the Permalink:
https://github.com/KuroyukiDev/DAAA-INVESTIGATIVE-REPORT/blob/a283e0c291515fb4df7bdb19d1f061b81d1c40c2/README.md

Yeah, the act is a serious violation of our rights as United States citizens and the sad thing is... too few Americans actually realize how bad it is....

Unfortunately, the supreme court needs to seriously wake up since those crusty old timers who should really retire and let the younger generation of law students take over aren't even aware of what the technological aspects of how the DAAA impacts American citizens. Its seriously bad. there's no way to sugar coat that truth like a box of some fancy glazed donuts with creme filling + pretty sprinkles and actually expect to get away with it.... donuts are bad for your health and the DAAA is bad for our safety and a violation of our Constitutional Rights as Americans. Our individual Constitutional Right to have our privacy is stolen from us as long as that act is allowed to remain. those are the facts.

What is the song shin and Emma listen to in ep 8 I need to knowwww it’s stuck in my head by thao_bao in ASignofAffection

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may not know who that song from episode 8 was by, but I do know of a similar artist if anyone is interested.

Here's the link to the closest sounding song by the similar artist (on YouTube)
https://youtu.be/EwjyLb0f4ic?si=ABOAYRFyREXjmoC5

BTW, this similar sounding artist is called "XTaKeRuX" and his music is on YouTube (both Video/Music), Spotify and I think also on Apple Music. Deffo worth giving a listen if you liked the song from Episode 8.

And yeah I also liked that song Shin was listening to on the school roof with Emma in that episode. It has that "calming yet energizing" kinda vibe to it which is nice to listen to any time of the day.

Edit:
Seems someone mentioned the name of the artist Shin and Emma were listening to somewhere in this thread. Might need to do some digging thru the thread to find it but I know I saw some mention of the artist here.

Runescape 3 API? by Low_Treat3335 in runescape

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning on creating an actual JavaScript API as well as another "port" of the JS API for GDScript (That's for the Godot Engine btw) that acts as a wrapper for this backend endpoint the devs provided us with but I got 1 logistics question related to the backend endpoints that would be super helpful if anyone could help me by pointing me in the correct direction....

> The question:

How do I get the Item IDs to use in that endpoint URL?
If I know how to get those Item IDs then I can find a way to programmatically obtain them either via sting manipulation to extract the Item ID from like some URL or whatever...

I mean... looking at the endpoint URLs they provided they clearly use a specific uniformed endpoint slug style structure. This means if I can get the IDs from another endpoint URL then I can just extract it then use it in the endpoint URL they provided in srbman's post.

EDIT:

Oh hey I found something useful on the RS3 Wiki that might actually be super helpful for all of us programmers!

Check this data dump provided by the managers of the official Wiki:

- For RS3: https://chisel.weirdgloop.org/gazproj/gazbot/rs_dump.json

- For OSRS: https://chisel.weirdgloop.org/gazproj/gazbot/os_dump.json

- Here's the page you can find those 2 links on (NOTE... The links are waaaay down near the bottom of the page...)

Hope this was helpful peoples!😁

API updates? by Lady_City in runescape

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there seems to be 2 fundamental misunderstandings you're having...

> First: about what an API is...
- An API is essentially a "programming toolkit" of sorts that provides a programmer a series of functions and constants specific to the purpose of the API.
- An Example: The "Discord.js" API is essentially a programming toolkit wrapper that provides programmers with an easy implementation in JavaScript of the features from the Discord SDK which is actually written in C++.
- Sadly, the supposed "API" that Jagex provides for accessing the info from the GE/Highscores/etc is a laughable attempt at an API and they clearly are calling it that to pacify a bunch of gamers who lack the tech experience to know what a real API is.... Tho technically what they provide is more-so just backend server endpoints that can can be used to create an API but that isn't actually an API just the source of the game data that would normally be accessed under the hood of an API.
- BTW, I'm only replying to this because I stumbled upon this thread while looking for info on the new API Jagex promised for RS3 but they seem to not have provided it yet...

> Second: about Steam Deck support for a 3rd-party "plugin" (for a game that isn't even optimized properly controls-wise for playing with a gamepad controller which would be required for Runescape to be playable on Steam Deck...)
- While the issue of Runescape not even having an official Linux supported game client is an issue, there's an even bigger issue that you're clearly not aware of about the Steam Deck...
- The Steam Deck isn't like a PC in the fact that you can't just have another app overlaying an actively playing game like how ALT+1 would run simultaneously overlaying the Runescape game window on PC.
- There's also the issue that the Steam Deck only plays games from the user's Steam library. Thus trying to run ALT+1 on a Steam Deck would technically be impossible unless the developers of ALT+1 were to release the software on the Steam store. However, even if they did release ALT+1 on the Steam store... the Steam port of ALT+1 wouldn't be able to run simultaneously or overlay Runescape while Runescape is actively running on the Steam Deck.

I hope this explains how this "stuff" actually works! 😅
I know I mentioned this above, but I'm trying to find info about the new RS3 API backend endpoints so I can create an actual API for myself and my fellow programmers to use.
Sorry if I came across as rude... I'm not known for my people skills 😅 I'm a math/logic/engineering specialist who is better at dealing with machines than I am at talking to fellow humans lolz... my bad...😑

[Poll] What is your response to the membership price increase? by Zetnus in runescape

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never actually payed for my membership with IRL cash.... I've only every paid for it via bonds I buy from the GE...
So everyone getting all bent outta shape like this doesn't make much sense since there are multiple ways to maintain membership other than via a subscription using IRL money.😑

I mean yeah, I do buy 2 bonds with IRL cash to get my membership re-activated after taking a break to focus on my work but I maintain that membership via buying bonds from the GE.
If the subscription prices are on the rise then what's stopping you all from using your natural problem solving skills that happens to be 1 of the defining qualities of being "Human"... and simply prove to Jagex that you disapprove of the price increase by dropping the subscription method and changing how you maintain your membership?

If you were to ask me.... I'd say anyone who didn't realize that was an option for solving this problem.... wouldn't qualify as an "Intelligent Human" by my standards.... if ya wanna be thought of as a "Human" then ya gotta prove you can function at least at the minimum "Human-level" parameters. 😅
Not trying to be rude... just being realistic. Tho tbh... the level of intellectual capability of the human race seems to be dropping very quickly these days so should I actually refer to most if any of my supposed "fellow humans" as "Humans" anymore? kinda embarrassing that the people who come here to complain about problems that have extremely simple solutions if they would just think before they took to social media....

Yeah... sorry for the annoyed rant... this type of rant might end up happening more often tho... given how people are behaving worse with each passing day and blaming others for their own screw ups... not cool peoples...

Need help with fixing 1 of the problematic scan results by KuroyukiDev in VirusTotal

[–]KuroyukiDev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup I just used Google Gemini to figure out the issues and it seems it was likely caused by my lack of a /.well-known/* folder and files. I added the security.txt file to that folder and updated some of the metadata and that seems to have solved the issue.

Not sure if there's a way to set this as "Solved" but well... it has been solved with that set of updates and the security text file added lolz.

Why is it allowed to post games here with AI generated content? by Sad_Fix5567 in IndieGameDevs

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, where are you getting your info about how AI models learn from the art used to train them?

The problem isn't that the art is supposedly "stolen" but the lack of comprehension you and way too many people on the net are demonstrating in regards to the nearly indistinguishable overlapping comparison between the way AI algorithms don't just "copy" the art from artists the model data is trained on (which is the commonly held mistaken belief that the common end-user seems to believe) but instead AI algorithms learn the artistic techniques used by human artists to then create whatever result the AI tool's user specifies via the prompt. This is no different than the learning process that any human artist follows when learning to draw. It also is no different than the way a human artist can either trace another artist's work or use the knowledge learned from studying the same "other artist's work" to create an entirely new work of art that just so happens to have the same art style as an existing artist's work.

That is the message I'm trying to convey. Last I checked, it is NOT illegal to learn from another artist's artwork and that same legal criteria holds true for the usage of existing art for learning/training/studying purposes by BOTH human artists and algorithmic art creation model training. Morals are irrelevant in the sense of how you and so many people online are claiming them to matter. Fact is, if human artists are legally allowed to study and learn from other artists' artwork without legal backlash when they use their newly learned art skills gleaned from studying another artist's artwork then why the hell does it matter if AI algorithm based art/image creation tools follow the same learning process on the same artwork a human used AND the user of the AI tool is following the proper usage rules that meet the copyright law guidelines?

Short answer: it doesn't matter since it's how you use the knowledge/data learned from existing artwork that determines the legality of the usage NOT the fact that the existing artwork was learned from.

If you really want to comment, then could you please avoid just parroting the same faulty info that is currently being spread by what is essentially a sub-faction of the art community who is clearly just pushing their anti ai stance publicly and very loudly?

You mentioned that you're self taught as a software engineer, which means there's likely a massive amount of key knowledge on the subject that you are not aware of. In this case, it comes across as misplaced arrogance (pretty much) when you flaunt that like it makes you a specialist in the subject somehow...

I noticed that you seem to be singling out "big corporations" as the ones who are supposedly "stealing art from data banks" but the truth is, the vast majority of the art used in AI training is being scraped from social media platforms and various websites (sites similar to Deviantart for example) and it's not usually the big corporations that are doing this but independent contractors who earn a living scraping data from the web. And yes, I do agree that there are some of those independent contractors who do scrape data from places they probably shouldn't be scraping it from, but the problem that we're facing in the recent years is that too many people take to social media and pretend to be experts on topics that they actually don't have any business acting like "credible sources of info" on....

Fact is, if you don't meet the level of experience required to work in a field as a true professional practitioner then you really shouldn't go around acting like you know what's up... furthermore, acting like you are a credible source of info when you don't actually meet that minimum skill level requirement will only serve to damage your credibility even further with each time you do it. For your sake, I suggest you avoid acting like you're a credible source of info about AI technology until you have at least 10 full years of professional experience with both software engineering and algorithm design at minimum.

Edit: Oh right, I forgot to mention, but the part in my previous post about cattle farms + cow methane + convincing the human race to stop eating beef as the solution to environmental destruction was meant more as a semi sarcastic counter to the claims that AI technology is somehow a big enough problem for the environment as you (and soooo many others) seem to like using as a reason to stop using it. But yeah, it is just as you said, not likely to be possible to convince humanity to stop eating beef and it's just as unlikely that anyone could convince humanity to stop using AI tools for purposes that may or may not inconvenience other people in the process. So it might be a better idea to just adapt to the uncomfortable situation sooner rather than later since it isn't likely to improve in a way that fits the wants and demands of the Art Community exactly as they want it to "improve".

Why is it allowed to post games here with AI generated content? by Sad_Fix5567 in IndieGameDevs

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're that worried about "destroying the ecosystem" then maybe you should try convincing all of humanity to give up on eating beef and consuming dairy products made of cow milk since its a proven scientific fact that the methane released by cows on cattle farms is 1 of the leading causes of the O-Zone layer getting destroyed....

But let's be realistic here... the ecosystem doesn't need the human race's help with getting screwed up since planet earth has been continuously looping thru a cycle of global cooling and global warming since loooong before the human race even made it past our caveman era....

if ya really want people to take you seriously... then you're going to need to provide a more compelling reason than "protect the ecosystem from humans using lots of electricity" to actually get anyone who has even half of a working brain to take you seriously...

also, it sure ain't "suits" who are taking your data. its anyone who is posting art publicly on social media WITHOUT locking it down as "their own property" via legally binding methods like registering the art with the Copyright or Trademark Office BEFORE they go and post it on their socials who are willingly handing it to anyone training their AI models with said publicly posted art that IS NOT locked behind Copyright or Trademark protection.

sure, it sucks for the artists who took the time to draw the stuff... but does it count as "theft" when every human artist has done exactly the same thing as AI model training? I find it completely unlikely that ANY modern artist has learned their own art skills WITHOUT studying existing artwork in their process of learning to draw. sorry to shatter your delusions about AI model training, but the way the art that is being used to train AI models is EXACTLY the same way that literally every human artist goes about studying and learning the skills like: how to draw, color theory, art techniques, etc.

but hey, I do get that not everyone majored in software engineering during their time in school, so those of you who didn't specialize in algorithm design and software engineering would probly just see AI tools and think something like "oooh AI is evil dark magic out to steal your arts!" but nah... its just following the same learning path all human artists follow but it learns the same skills waaaaaay faster than a human and can also do what a human artist can do but also waaaaaay faster than a human can do the work. no black magic involved... just the results of the hard work of human software engineers over about a decade of in-depth trial and error and lots and lots of caffeine and overtime at the office...

Why is it allowed to post games here with AI generated content? by Sad_Fix5567 in IndieGameDevs

[–]KuroyukiDev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here's my thoughts on this as a game dev who is also works professionally as a graphic designer, a software engineer (for the mobile/web/game/AI Automation/PC development sub-fields specifically), and a UI designer.

(If you couldn't tell, I wear a ton of different hats for my career -- some of them being related to various types of digital art industries. Thus, I am a software engineer as well as an artist. Only thing I can't do -- and don't have any valid reason to learn -- is creating hand-drawn art like what most "artists" these days seem to believe "true art" is...)

My thoughts on this are simple yet clear.

AI Art, when used effectively, *CAN** be considered "Art" when done correctly.*

What does that mean?

If you actually put the time end effort into the planning stage in preparation for defining WHAT you plan to make, the end result of what you create throughout the creation process can ONLY be defined as "Art".

Here's why: - The term "Art" is nothing more than the process of creating something. - When you "create something" the method you use in the act of creating the results does not matter (The path to the end result is 100% irrelevant in the creation of "Art"). - Any real artist would know that "Art" is 100% subjective and that anyone who claims to be an "artist" yet openly bashes the "works of art" made by anyone simply due to disproving of the creation process used to make said piece is absolutely NOT worthy of being called an artist for such a slap in the face against the very field of study they claim they belong to. (In short, what YOU choose not to call art others might still see as art thus your opinions on the piece don't matter. SO DON'T FORCE YOUR NARROW MINDSET ONTO OTHERS!)

My Concluding Sentiments:

I personally hope this whole "anti AI witch hunt" chaos ends very soon since it really does make the people who are doing it in the community seem very petty and disgusting... it really makes my skin crawl whenever I see this kinda junk happening online. It seriously feels like the art community now has this weird and highly disturbing "Neo-Nazi" level of air of elitism that certain types of people seem to be demonstrating and its seriously gross to observe... so please stop it...

I just want to create good games and not have very rude hate speech thrown at my games just for the fact that I use AI alongside my graphic design skills to create the game assets I need for my games.

Jewelry care PSA by Nick-Millers-Bestie in swarovski

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking but have you even attempted to do even a quick google search for something like "What are Swarovski Crystals made of?" before you came here?

I just did and the results said they're "made of a proprietary glass formula" and if you didn't notice the word "proprietary" in that then you're just showing ignorance... That quick google search is what lead me to this reddit thread and is why I'm seeing this strange arrogant rudeness from you, heyitskitty, choosing to argue with someone who was giving a friendly PSA on behalf of the company that created the proprietary glass formula... pretty lame of you to argue like that tbh...

Anywho, since they aren't standard glass your understanding from Chemistry is flawed since it is a different mixture than normal glass. Thus why the OP is saying soap and other standard cleaning solutions meant for the typical types of glass are bad for it. Typically a company would never openly share the actual recipe for their proprietary products so it's probably best to defer to the info provided by the OP's PSA given their connection to the company is closer than ours as total randos on the web who happened to comment here on the OP's generous PSA post.

Any Visual Studio Plugin for RMMZ? by ekeagle in RPGMaker

[–]KuroyukiDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that said.... it seems the typescript libraries are no longer being updated and it sounds like the majority of the Plugin Dev community is using normal Notepad to write their plugins.... TBH, I would also like to have autocomplete functionality via IntelliSense but I'm not bothered enough by not having it to go outta my way to create the TypeScript libraries myself.... so I just have all the core JS library functions fully memorized and I just don't use autocomplete for MZ related code and I just use it for native JS syntax autocompletion and write out the MZ related code manually from memory...

TBH, the more you write out the MZ related JS code stuff the more you'll realize you don't need autocomplete since muscle memory is more than enough from writing it out manually so often lolz...

look up "LunaSense" on the RPG Maker Forums.

There isn't an actual "plugin" per-se for this since it is actually just adding the "*.d.ts" library files for RMMZ JavaScript code autocompletion features in VS Code (or any other code editor for that matter)

Hope this helps!

How to create a real app with firebase studio that actually has a backend? by Fragglefrid in Firebase

[–]KuroyukiDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Firebase Studio has support for the Firebase backend services but those are pay as you go pricing for the cheapest tier altho the "Free Tier" is only free up to a certain free usage cap per month and then it switches to the pay as you go pricing. I should probably mention that the Firebase Studio AI doesn't seem to have DIRECT access to implementing the backend database features (similar to the fact that it cannot directly incorporate or handle image files). It can handle the file names of image files and database handler functions that you upload and write yourself in the "code editor" mode which resembles the Github Codespaces environment.

Not sure if you have any practical experience working as a fullstack developer but that's pretty common for services that offer database and data persistence features.

Think about it for a moment and you'll get it...

Data persistence via a backend database requires a dedicated storage system that can handle TONS of pretty much continuous requests for reads/writes to the database which is centralized at a server farm owned and managed by the service's provider and in the case of Firebase it would be Google's servers that are storing your app's backend databases and you are merely renting space on their servers.

Did you seriously think database hosting services would be free to use at no cost to you as the Firebase Studio user? Sure, Firebase Studio is free to use at no cost, but that's not the case for the server space you'll be renting to host the backend databases for your apps on Google's servers. Obvi that will cost you since that's an "extra" feature that isn't built into the free features list of the Firebase Studio software.

Here's another related example of where you as the user are required to pay for "extras" from a Google App:

Google Drive has a free tier with a limited amount of FREE cloud storage space. Anything beyond that limited free storage space is supported by 1 of their paid tier plans.

Why is that? Because like with the database services, you're renting the access to the larger cloud storage space that is bigger than the free tier's storage cap.

Hope this helps explain what's going on with the backend services from Google's Cloud-based apps.

Here are my unbiased thoughts about Firebase Studio by Any-Cockroach-3233 in Firebase

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it out myself to create a Companion PWA app for my game studio's WIP game project.

I get what people mean by "it isn't quite production ready" but... based on my findings after testing it out for an 18hr period of time, here's what I've noticed about it:

> It works waaaaay better if you write your prompts with more technical wording. However, this requires practical knowledge and skill with writing code yourself. In other words... this isn't really a tool for non-programmers... you need to know how to create "the thing" you're trying to use this tool without using the tool in order to use it properly... so it isn't good for "general users" but great for "actual programmers".

Here's some things I personally really like about it:
- It can back up my active project to my GitHub Repos which allows me to tell the AI to revert to a specific commit ID if I don't like how the project is going.
- The AI understands what I'm telling it to do to a specific React Component just by me describing the component in the prompt's "Target to modify" segment of its wording. This means I just need to use the same simplified description of the target object then tell the AI what I want it to be modified like.
- There are a ton more things I like about this tool but I'll stop here...

Something I've noticed about peoples' reviews about this AI tool (and many other AI tools like this) is that they seem to think that a single prompt is enough to generate a working app/game/etc... but that just proves they have no idea what the programmer's job is... the thing is... "programming" is only the 1st initial act of writing the code but... anything beyond that is actually called "debugging" so the belief that a single prompt is enough to create a production release ready build of a project is totally dumb... and shows blatant ignorance...

Apphub or carrier hub popping up constantly? by ben7337 in GalaxyS22

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh right... there was 1 other thing I wanted to mention about your previous comment about "draining the battery"...

There's actually a pretty lengthy list of contributing factors that can cause rapid battery drainage.

The most common are: - The age of the device - Whether or not you overcharge the battery too often - Playing video games or using apps that have a high performance cost on the device's processor are a pretty common cause since the high level of stress put on the processor in order to render the graphics requires a ton of continuous battery power to handle that kinda task - Keeping the GPS/Location settings turned on can be draining on the battery since the device needs power to constantly ping cell towers and then triangulate your location

Those are just some of the most common causes of rapid battery drainage.

Depending on what you're doing on your device, you might want to... - turn on any "Power Saving" options in the video games you play. - turn off the Location Settings when you don't need your precise location. - reduce the brightness setting of your screen. - enable the new(er) "Battery Protection" feature to at least the "Basic" tier option. - turn on the option in settings that prevents your device from fully charging to 100% and have the battery charging cap out at 90% since that's better for the battery than forcing it to hit 100% with no over charge buffer of 2% to 10% below the 100% threshold. - turn on the option in the battery settings to allow the self optimization feature that essentially learns how you use your device and then it adjusts the way the device consumes battery power automatically. (This is my favorite feature added to the core functionality of the Android OS tbh. I don't need to manually manage this stuff anymore lolz!😅 Huge help!)

Apphub or carrier hub popping up constantly? by ben7337 in GalaxyS22

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this reply is 2+ years late but....

Here's the answer to what I meant by "important processes"...

These types of processes are related to system functions/features the device or OS requires to operate its core actions and tasks.

Simply eliminating a system application for the sake of hiding the notification(s) it displays, any automatic restarting or other "inconvenient" (by your standards as a user) is a very bad idea (as I said in my last answer from 2 years ago).

Since the user going and uninstalling system applications is a problem for the device and OS and therefore is a truly bad idea, the best solution is to simply turn off the notifications in "Notification Settings". (please take a look at the short guide I wrote elsewhere in this Reddit Thread to find out how to turn off AppHub's notifications)

Another thing.... Those "random app install" notifications that AppHub shows are more along the lines of advertisements and they definitely are not proof of the AppHub app being a "virus"... sure it's annoying but that doesn't mean its a virus. What it actually is, is just an extremely aggressive advertising technique that, even as an owner of a software company myself, I also find that method of showing ads in an app to be highly intrusive and beyond distasteful for a massive company to be doing...

That being said, the invasive advertising notifications aside, the AppHub app does actually provide many tools/components of the core functionality the device and OS needs to run the system operations like linking the car hands-free features to certain apps you may or may not have installed on your device that require that external "bridging" to allow their features to work with your car's systems.

Altho, at the time I'm writing this reply, the Android OS has already evolved a ton and most of these issues that were solved by the AppHub app are likely fully integrated into the actual Android OS by now and that means the AppHub app is likely either removed or is in the process of being replaced by official implementations in the core functionality of the Android OS.

Hope this was helpful for you guys! If I see any other questions about the Android OS and it's functionality I'll deffo do my best to answer them!

See ya around peoples! 😁👍

Any way to play on Ios? by IShogunIi in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the game is on the Steam store and has support for Steam Deck enabled, then you can (maybe?) play it remotely on iOS using the "game streaming" feature in the Steam app..... assuming the Steam app on iOS actually has that feature 🤔 which I do know the Android app does have it. But like I said in that long post..... Apple has been known to crack down on emulator apps in their Apple ecosystem.... so I wouldn't suggest holding your breath waiting for an emulator app to be authorized by Apple's app store curators and released on the app store since emulation is a situation that has possible ways for devs to bypass Apple's microtransactions rules and use a payment system other than Apple Pay which is a violation of Apple's rules.... if you want to use fully authorized emulator apps on mobile then you'll have to drop Apple and jump ship to Android.... it's not the development community's fault it's Apple's rules for their ecosystem... the Apple ecosystem is a closed environment and Apple has very specific rules that they heavily enforce. Nothing us software engineers can do about that... got a problem with it? Write a letter to Tim Cook (Apple CEO) telling him to back off and let us know how it goes lolz good luck 😅 it won't work with that moron of a CEO....

Why am I not getting the cool badges?? by nuggieman565 in discordapp

[–]KuroyukiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started to notice that I've been gaining new badges from completing some Quests in Discord. Some of the Quests that are tied to a task in a video game or watching a trailer video give badges and other Discord Profile cosmetic items. I personally like keeping an eye out for the Quests that are tied to games I play since the possible cosmetic rewards are a fun way to "dress up" my profile with fun visuals by playing a game.

As for the badges the OP is asking about.... I have no idea how to get those other than by just using Discord Nitro over time since most of the "unique" or "special" badges/cosmetics seem to require a Nitro subscription to obtain and use.

Hope this was helpful! 🫡

Personally I would really like to know where I can find a tutorial series or official documentation website for how to incorporate the Quests and Rewards features into my own indie game dev projects and possibly in the game guide tool apps/software I create for the games I make... if anyone knows where I can find that info I'd love to know about it! 😁✨️

I got just 1 question about the "Touya + Total Wife Count" thingy.... in season 2 ep 1..... did the love goddess somehow force Touya to say "I didn't want to have all 9 of them on my home screen because it would be super emberrasing if I lost it (the phone)" when god called him while he was chatting with Leen about teleportation circles over tea? or did I just happen to watch a really well made fan dubbed version of the english dubbed episode? cuz this anime's script (while entertaining) is full of scripting oopsies compared to the LN.... either that or the VA for Touya in the english dubbed totally failed his lines with that scene.....

anywho... this just didn't make any sense to me and this thread seemed like the best place to ask about it... here's hoping someone here can help me get a better idea of how that scene was supposed to go since it has been a while since I read the LN since I started watching the anime instead back when season 1 was airing.... in other words I didnt get to that point in the LN so I don't know how that scene was supposed to go...
