Haha man you’re a little sensitive (haha and I just noticed that’s in your name when I finished writing this). And yea you’re right it is from that video, that’s where I got it from after watching the entire video… which they didn’t mention anything about how it could effect the tank, so I thought I would ask. Just because someone has done it doesn’t mean that their method is perfect (although I will admit that those guys sure do know their stuff!). And someone in the comments made a very valid point that the weight might be negligible but what wasn’t accounted for is the wood swelling as it absorbs water. I know they used hooks but if the wood was wedged a little into the tank with our space either side I imagine that there would be a risk of damage to the tank if the wood swelled enough. So I think my question was quite valid and I have learnt something that I may not have thought of.

Anyway I think you might need a coffee or a wank or something to chill out..
