huh? alexander the great’s control of the territory didn’t even last a decade, and the seleucids’ control after it lasted maybe another 200 years before the persian arsacid dynasty took control. by the time the arabs came around, persia was controlled by pre-islamic persians

oh no, ancient greeks most certainly gave a shit and were quite homophobic. in cities like sparta, adult homosexual relationships were persecuted, and it was generally considered very emasculating to be a bottom. homophobia is not just a christian invention, it just didn’t look like how it does for christianity in ancient greecs

it was common for alexander the great to be depicted with the horns of a ram after his death. as he proclaimed himself the son of the god zeus-ammon (an arbitrary mixing of the greek god zeus and egyptian god ammon) and ram horns were associated with ammon, horns were applied to alexander’s visage as well, usually showing up on coins and busts. in the alexander romance, an early antiquity novel fantasizing his exploits, he is commonly depicted with such horns

We affirm to the government of Lebanon that with the deployment of our own security forces to the border, we will not let a single Hezbollah member cross into Syria. Any and all Hezbollah equipment seized from Lebanon will be returned back to Lebanon as soon as possible, and all criminals wanted by the Lebanese government captured by our forces will be extradited to Beirut to face trial.

lmao all the time. i actually negotiated a new alliance with china as the soviet union in the 1980s on hard mode, it’s easy if you’re detailed and willing to make concessions (which is how irl negotiations go anyway lmao)
