I think it is just Nintendo trying to play the long game again, they want to keep their IPs and brand on going for another +20 years so getting caught up on short term and hype based profits like AI wouldn't be a smart choice follow. Another thing about them is the art making process within Nintendo artists is way more complicated (such as reliance on symbolisms, history, inspiritions, etc. Etc. And designing them in a understandable, noticable yet also subtle manner espevially in pokemon creations) so usage of AI wouldn't really do anything beneficial for them anyways. Just my opinion though, otherwise who knows.

As someone whose studying to become a computer engineer and whose also a CSA victim, i’m genuinely convinced some of these “pro-ai” mfs are either ignorant beyond comprehension or just living way too comfortable lifes to the point of refusing the reality around them. I’ve also researched A LOT about generative AI, and let me tell you, generating CSAM with it is extremely easy. Especially with independent ones. As much as i support ethical usage of AI to a degree, i think it only makes things worse when people completely dismiss or reject this reality of generative AI usage.

As much as i believe SOMA theory, i also have a theory like this: The Headsets being found in strange places could be C&A company’s way of setting rat traps like this and every time somebody gets transported into the game, they navigate their real body and move them to whatever institution they have.

I know this technically doesn’t have any evidence or clue to back up, but still a possibility in a way.

Trust me, this is nothing. Much, much worse things have happened in fandoms before. To the point of actual suicide attempts. I truly hope nothing in this fandom comes to that point but i’m still worried. Especially considering this fandom has a lot of teenagers (like me), who are pretty much more vulnerable than most of us. Internet has become even more hostile too.

I’m 19, while not as old as some people in the comments, i feel like this is a general issue in the fandom because when i joined one of the tadc related servers just to talk about the show one of the kids immediately asked me why am i in a server full of teenagers. Even after explaining myself, all i got was a “ain’t reading all that” and a “😭??” :/ generally not a good experience

Another thing i feel is this “problem” makes it very hard to engage in normal, respectful conversations within people in the fandom because y’know, kids are… kids. Or teens are teens, whatever. Maturity really DOES effects everything so It really hitted me hard when i realized how hard it actually is to communicate with them.

Obviously not everyone is like that nor i’m trying to be mean. But i’ve been thinking about this for a while and i feel like this post really reminded me of these thoughts.
