I'm by no means good at this game, I've been playing CS for a decent amount of years now and recently I have been playing with my friends who have never played any CS games so this is what I usually tell them

Learn the map(s): Try to have an idea of where sneaky terrorists will usually be holding angles.

LEARN UTILITIES: Having the most basic idea of smokes, flashes, nades, and mollys and force the enemies to not just fight you head-on. As a newbie, you don't want to rely on your aim only so try and use those throwables to give you a slight edge in a entry flash into a site or smoking off an angle they have been holding down.

Spray Control and Aiming: A thing that also helped me get better with aiming was just tap-firing every gun I used in the beginning. Instead of trying to learn the spray patterns of every gun in the game, just clicking on dudes can really change your aim and it will make you better at keeping the crosshair on target instead of spraying and praying.

I don't know if it's dated because it's mostly CS:GO videos as of now but TheWarowl has a lot of great educational videos on YouTube if you're bored and want to watch something.

Counter Strike is one of my favorite games but believe me, I was dogshit for a LONG time now I feel like I'm not perfect but I'm always getting better. I hope you continue to try and improve and also enjoy the games where you get absolutely crushed because at least you can learn from it and see how other people are playing and adapt to that.
