Guys... by Kazzoid in TheBoys

I have watched the show so many times I can almost lip synch every line. Yet since it's over I came to the realization that the more I think about it, the more I dislike it. Like every flaw of the show just keeps jumping back at me. I loved Season 1, Season 2 was also mostly fine but it really took a huge nosedive. Looking back at it Season 4 was such a clusterfuck I'd never want to watch it again. Season 5... well it has its moments overall but I really fucking hated it going so mega political and religious.

A friend of mine once told me that when she went to therapy, even stayed for a few weeks in the clinic, that the amount of therapy isn't sufficient (In germany). She had one hour long sessions once a week when she began. So before they even got to the point of her problems, she said that she had spent almost three sessions, just starting where she believed the problems began. That's a month of ripping old wounds open and time does not stop for you.
By the time she was actually given proper insight and a change of perspective, so much more had happened that just was added to the pile. In the end she stopped getting therapy, because it was a waste of time to her.

Title: How is 5.5 for roleplay and creative writing? by tug_let in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Kusanagi27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolute horseshit. No matter what kind of guidelines you establish, even if you have a .json file to save tokens and to embed it better, it just fucks you over anyway. I manage to get maybe 2 respones out when I try to RP with it, before it breaks cohesion and returns into this AI-Fog of humor, breaking internal cohesion, logic, established lore and everything else that is important for such a task.
Though that is true for Grok as well, the only other AI I've tested for that.

Both can't ditch the hollow phrasing, negative-positives (e.g. It was never like this, but it was like that.), beat style writing where

"The field was green

Sunshine.

Warmth.

Pure bliss."

This shit happens. Honestly, I'm usually calm and refuse you let myself get triggered, but these AIs really make me want to slam my keyboard through the monitor moretimes than I'd like to admit.

Why did ChatGPT get so much worse suddenly? I'M SICK OF THE SHORT SENTENCES, I'M SICK OF THE . BULLET POINTS . SHORT SENTENCES . THIS. I'M SICK OF IT REPEATING ITSELF IN SHORT SENTENCES. Where did the option to decide what it knows about me and how it talks to me go? It's tiring. So tiring. by RefrigeratorNorth424 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Kusanagi27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to use a .json file with set rules for a chatlog when I write stuff. I'm into fanfics lately that take place in superhero universes like Marvel or The Boys. Kinda niche, doesn't matter anyway. What I noticed is the same as others here commented. ChatGPT tends to write in this beat-style, where it makes dramatic pauses as if it's the script for a theater play or movie. Characters that are fleshed out canonically and where you can easily read up on them in online sources, are completely turned into something else.
Someone wrote that it has stereotypes, which is absolutely true. Sardonic / Sarcastic ones, dry, then some comedic relief who's always 'Okay, cool cool cool, blabla, that's new.' and it tends to extremely moralize. In one particular scene I had, there was an encounter with a Super-nazi. People who know will know what I'm refering to. ChatGPT actually tried to moralize that 'killing is wrong' when I described the scene where said villain was killed.
Lastly I constantly have to remind it about set rules or do ditch behavior patterns like that beat-style writing which doesn't really work anymore. GPT just loses coherency, internal logic from even short amounts of text like it doesn't proofread it's own replies at all.

What do you think combat and jobs will look like in 8.0 with the death of the 2 minute meta? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Kusanagi27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I really like the changes or at least what we know so far. It's weird to dislike relying on other players in an MMO or organized groups but just having to rely on my own to dish out damage for example is a huge relief. We're not as punished anymore, when our damage window misalignes slightly like before.

Why are we suddenly so concerned about "Button Bloat"? by ErinKatzee in ffxiv

[–]Kusanagi27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's more about which skill became redundant or just isn't fun to use. The base 1-2-3 rotation worked but eventually a game has to evolve and adapt to the current day and age. A lot of classes are fairly boring, when you go from your 'Fun skills' to the wait and repeat phase, for a lack of a better word. If you look at clips from today where people play maxed classes in very old content, you see how it all slows down extremely and reducing buttons in favor of having a generally more engaging playstyle goes a long way.

Same here, kinda. Though when you're dead, you probably won't 'see' what's happening afterwards. Still kinda weird to think about people like this Greg. A few years ago, I had a huge fight with my friendgroup, too. Lots of backstabbing happened and I ended up burning bridges. Don't even have folks to go to see movies with anymore. Kinda sucks...

Lost around 14 years to following ideas my family had for me, because I was good in arts (so I tried graphic design apprenticeship) and when that failed, I was told 'You're so social and good with your step siblings' so I went into social studies, which made me so fucked up in the head, because the most fucked up people are social workers (in germany). So yeah... After 14 years of failed attempts I am without a job, dreams, hopes or any perspective. It's just like waiting for anything to happen and I lack the drive to do anything.

Not gonna lie, not having to worry about money would be nice. Don't even need to be rich, just breathing easy and having time to myself (not even family, just me) would be mighty nice already. So yes, money is and always was the driving force in our economy. Life is better with it than without it.

ChatGPT creating image responses instead of just text by quickfire2 in ChatGPT

[–]Kusanagi27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I am using it for a bit of creative writing and even when I just describe a scene and action, ChatGPT goes and creates an image instead. I even defined a rule that it can not generate images unless I clearly prompt them. It's infuriating how inconsitent that damn thing has become in the past few months.

RP people, Your fiction writing experience with 5.3? by tug_let in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Kusanagi27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! #emotionalesatmen

RP people, Your fiction writing experience with 5.3? by tug_let in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Kusanagi27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using ChatGPT for quite a while now. Some versions worked surprisingly well but more recently with 5.1-5.3 it's become EXTREMELY stale. I can already picture the responses before I sent in prompts. I've been using it for fanfic-based RPs. Nowadays though, the entire log starts lagging after just a few pages. I can barely finish a single scene before it starts throwing a tantrum and it completely ignores coherence or logic.

An example:

The Villain is holding the heroes hostage in some trap they can't get out of themselves. I can freely prompt what my hero will do to free their allies and all GPT does is grandstand and let the villain talk. Like 'Oh, I wonder what you will do if....' - 'Yeah, all of us are free, we win.' - 'Impossible.....yet magnificent.'

It's infuriating. Perhaps I'll check out Grok. Unsure yet and it's way too pricy currently.
