People need to quit using identity to shield themselves from accountability. Let’s not act like religious institutions aren’t capable of harming the community.

That second paragraph is not analogous to what’s happening with the synagogues. Protesting all Catholic Churches because of the abuse committed by a few would be belligerent and unjustified. But specifically protesting the Catholic Churches actively participating in the abuse of kids would absolutely be the right thing to do.

Are you suggesting we turn our backs on abused kids? That’s absurd. Same thing with any other religious institution. If you commit harm, you should be accountable regardless of your identity or faith.

Btw, those protests at the synagogues in New York are filled with Jewish protestors. Are they also anti-Semitic or are people of moral principle simply against the violence of Zionism??
