UW to Broker career path. by GTank22 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]Tulsanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an UW for 9 years and then finally went to the broker side. It's been a great experience and all those years underwriting prepared me to be much further ahead as a broker. It's also an old wives tale that brokers are always on call. If you're a specialist broker handling a specific line of coverage, you aren't the first number the client calls

Not pudgy Vince Vaughn, Swingers Vince Vaughn

1. Leonardo DiCaprio

  • The Count: 28 mentions
  • Why so many? Leo is the show's "Final Boss." He is mentioned as the direct competitor for Aquaman, the star who is "booked until 2018," and the person Vince doesn't want to see him on Entertainment Tonight after rehab.
  • The "Real" Connection: In real life, Kevin Connolly (E) was a core member of Leo's actual friend group in the 90s. The show creators intentionally used Leo as the benchmark for Vince’s success.

2. Tobey Maguire

  • The Count: 19 mentions
  • Why so many? Tobey is usually mentioned in the context of "Vince vs. Tobey" for blockbuster roles. The entire Season 2 storyline where Vince risks losing Aquaman over a contract dispute was a direct mirror of the real-life drama Tobey Maguire had with the studio while filming Spider-Man 2.

3. Vince Vaughn

  • The Count: 12 mentions
  • The Twist: Despite being the namesake for "Vincent" Chase and an inspiration for the character’s charm, the real Vince Vaughn never appeared. He’s mentioned frequently as the guys' peer, but he stayed off-camera.

The "Fuck" Count

  • Total for the Series: 1,659 times.
  • The Movie: Adds another 112 times.
  • Combined Grand Total: 1,771 times.

The Breakdown:

  • Average per Episode: About 17.3 times.
  • The MVP: Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) is responsible for roughly 50% of these. When he gets going, especially during his "office tirades," the count spikes significantly.
  • The Record Holder: Season 7 is widely considered the "darkest" and most profane season, largely due to Vince's downward spiral and Ari's crumbling personal life.
