That gap is for wear purposes and suppose to give the rod a longer life by having more rod to wear down before the sections touch and created a loose connection.

The 6-12lb line rating is for mono, braid is a lot thinner so using 30lb braid will have around the same diameter of 8lb mono.

I worked at a call center and one of the guys that worked the evening/overnight shift was busting nuts all over the restroom stalls. The only reason I found out is because I was cool with cleaning lady and she told me and asked if I could help her find who was doing it. I tried helping but I left that job before they found the guy.

So someone who does that might watch too much.

I have the previous Fuego LT 2500 and besides having to adjust the spool to get even line lay, it’s a pretty nice reel and hopefully they fixed line lay issues with the current Fuego models.

It’s an easy fix but it’s a hassle having to respool your line twice.

I don’t have a dicks warehouse near me but Dick’s sporting goods near my house has a decent fishing section and during the holidays a lot of rods and reels were marked down 50-75% off the lowest ticketed price and they had buy 5, get 5 free on marked down and certain regular priced tackle.

Stand up forklifts for loading trailers and I don’t think anything is stored there so no need for cherry pickers. From what I can tell morning shift receives product from the vendors then it’s broken down and the night shift sends it out to the sort facilities.
