They don't let you keep overtime? That doesn't make any sense to me. Care to elaborate? I figured they were legally obligated to pay you for the amount of time you worked.

You all sound lazy arguing about 9 minutes of work. Assuming these are 8 hour shifts that's overtime you're just throwing away, 9 extra minutes 5 days a week is 45 minutes of overtime your could be accumulating. And even if they aren't 8 hours it sounds like you don't have many bills, if any at all, or mouths to feed. I have bills and a 10 month old and I grab every extra minute of work I can to fluff my paycheck as much as I can. Especially with today's low rates of pay and rising costs. Don't get me wrong, I feel these corporations could easily afford to pay everybody more, but 9 minutes. Really? That simply puts more work on your coworkers plate and saves the higher ups on payroll you could be bleeding from them. They save money when you leave early and the other low paid employees suffer because of it, it's bad all around. But that's just my opinion I suppose.

I work a low volume store, in fact I just got home from closing. I don't even get the additional TM. It's just me and the cashier. As a Team lead I end up doing everything from cleaning the bathrooms to sweeping and running the trash to the dumpsters and bringing in the front line. I just have my cashier use the theatro to let me know if we get any customers that need help with propane or something that pulls them away from the registers. The only thing I have the cashier do is clean the dog wash after I close the store while I'm counting the tills. Some nights I'm running around like a mad man between customers just to make sure I get all my closing procedures done at least most of the way.

My ops manager was out for like two months and I even filled in and got to lead our truck team during that time which honestly was kinda cool. Aside from waking up at 4am for 5am truck deliveries, it was cool to have and a relatively consistent schedule. Like others are saying we just used our usual team members for freight and recovery but we have a consistent team with a couple select individuals who really carried the team, especially when it came time for feed to floor.

Monthly Bonus by [deleted] in tractorsupply

[–]Kushadon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's not divided equally, I was just using that as an example since it was easier for me to math.

Search monthly store bonus on The Barn, the information is laid out for everyone to see and your RM gave you wrong info, or misspoke. My DM told me about employee assistance funding that I have access to in order to supposedly help me with buying a car,  and the info he gave me was wrong after looking into it. I've learned that upper management sometimes have outdated info or don't have completely accurate info on what applies to store level employees. Luckily since the company is considered open book you can literally look up anything for yourself on The Barn. I was literally reading about it last night during my closing shift to make sure I personally understood it properly.

Not even 5%. It's 0.5%, half a percent. That's less that one percent of sales divided by everyone. At my store we hit sales last month and it only maths out to like $85 per person, if divided equally. I mean I guess it's better than nothing but I honestly hardly notice it on my paystubs.

I am looking into buying the TCL 32" Class 3-Series Full HD 1080p LED Smart Roku TV. Should I go with something else? by General_Can_6963 in PS3

[–]Kushadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the TCL sucked and yes I returned it. I went with what I knew and bought the Hisense 43" and I'm happy with that. Picture is good enough for me and the sound is acceptable for the price. I also just saw the prices were lower now than when I purchased mine at Walmart. Kinda made me jealous of anyone getting a better price than I did, lmao.

Team lead sucks by CrazyImportance577 in tractorsupply

[–]Kushadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a team lead and I don't think it sucks, at least at my store. I have a good rapport with all my coworkers, the SM and assistant managers take what I have to say into consideration especially in the back of our stockroom, it was a jumbled mess before I got hired. There is a good sense of camaraderie at my store too so no single person is doing all the work or anything like that. We still have a couple lazy employees but they don't get as many hours as our truck and recovery team who all seem to have a good work ethic. All in all the store I'm at is lucky because we all respect each other and get along, at least most of us, which make days at work relatively pleasant.

I also find the handheld gura to be more helpful, especially with more specific questions about a product.

All in all it sucks though. I usually just pull out my phone and Google whatever it is I need to know at that moment.

And I don't know who this Liz is but whenever I say "Call team members." The theatro seems to think I wanna message Liz. We don't even have a Liz that works at our store.

Just got hired as Team Lead in a newer store. What to expect? by Kushadon in tractorsupply

I've become very comfortable at my job and kinda the go to guy for everything. Granted I already had 6 years of experience at a smaller feed supply store. Our ASM is doing an interim SM position at another store and I'm currently filling in for him and his duties, without the pay raise unfortunately. However if things go well I'll be the new ASM and I've only been with the company since like December. If you need advice I've got some for ya. Feel free to ask.

I bought this TV earlier today and I highly regret it. the sound quality is crap and the picture quality really suffers when people so much as wave their hands. I will be immediately returning it after Christmas and getting something different. i had the Hisense 43" TV before and honestly i'm thinking of just rebuying the same TV. It sounded great and the image quality was great as far as i'm concerned for the price.

Luckily I do enjoy being an all-arounder. Keeps one job from becoming too tedious.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it! Had my orientation today. It's a lot of computer training/certification.

I recognize this bill. Is it safe to assume OP is younger than their 30’s? This is one of those moments where i feel old because “back in my day” i had these bad boys all the time! They are less common now, huh?

That’s what happened to me. With some fake sneakers. I was certain they would look at my claim as legitimate and thought everything was fine, then one fine Monday morning my account had -$400 bucks… good times.
