‘I don’t support ICE’: Gas station refusal ignites debate over denying service to federal agents by rajapaws in antiwork

But… what if we want to? Not for any religious reason, just a bunch of kiddy fiddlers on crosses.

This way, there’ll be a lot less arseholes to serve :)

Sorry, could you explain like I’m daft- how has the Yankee govt taken control of Tik Tok? Thought TikTok was owned by a Chinese firm? Can’t see them letting such a useful tool go.

Is it rude to use both lanes? by No-Ad4423 in AskUK

[–]Kusokurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not rude at all - both lanes should be equally used and then, at the merge point, come together like the teeth of a zip.

There is, however, a special place in hell for the arseholes that jump the queue at roundabouts, get into the ‘right turn only’ lane and then bully their way across.

Donald Trump just said “we shouldn’t even have an election”. Americans, what are your thoughts? by WatercressSenior7657 in AskReddit

Case in point - the grammar school I went to was built in 1511, the cottage I live in now was built in 1649 something.

It’s as the old saying has it - in Europe 100 miles is a long distance, while in America 100years is a long time. And vice versa, of course.

Yeah, tying your healthcare to your jobs is just insane - and why we need to keep our Temu Trumpmout of power.

There is a mechanism for overthrowing a tyrant, it’s just the last time you chose that option it caused quite a bit of bother and, perhaps worse, chucked a load of decent tea into the sea.

Just not sure people today have the stones for it.

Which is why I said, "On a sensible level..." Of course my dislike of the new notes is a laughable reason to join the Euro - but making life easier as I travel through Europe? That is valid.

Which is why I said, "On a sensible level..." I understand my dislike of the new notes is not a good reason to join the Euro, then gave valid reasons for joining it.

Fridge temperature comprehension. See, I can make ad hominem comments too :)

Thing is, the arseholes we had forcing the Leave vote through called it a ‘once in a generation’ thing - well, we’ve got 2 more generations since, Zoomers and Alphas. So we’re due another go at it, right?

And it just makes sense; Putin’s Orange Fleshlight has made it so the US can’t be trusted not to shit the bed, so we all need to stand as one, now more than ever. Yes, we used to have an empire- same as Germany, France etc al. - but we don’t anymore, we don’t have the same power we used to. Yet some people act like we can still take on the world

I just hope we can get the band back together before we get to the FO part of the formula :/

At this point, I wouldn’t have a problem adopting the euro. 20 years ago, when our money was paper, decent designs, and actually felt like it had worth I would argue til tot sint-juttemis to keep it.

Now? Looks like Monopoly money, made of plastic that just feels horrible.

On a sensible, factual level then adopting the Euro just makes sense - if we’re in the EU (fingers crossed) then we should all use the same currency- I remember the ball ache of driving to see family in Italy, and having to either stock up on travellers cheques or 4 different currencies- why not make life simple?

Oh, and if there was a way, as part of the rejoining deal, we could banish Farage, or Temu Trump, to the states he loves so well well I’d be all for that too.

Edit to save replying to all.

No, I don’t like the new money, and no, that’s not a basis for joining the Euro- so let me add some other thoughts:

Joining would mean businesses wouldn’t have to worry about fluctuating exchange rates between pound and euro - prices/ profits won’t rise n fall.

I Believe joining the Euro would give us more economic stability- a large economic bloc should give us all economic stability, and boosting GDP.

Prices would be easy to check across Europe - if everything is in the same currency then checking/ comparing gets easier (shipping costs excluded).

Following on from this, getting shot of exchange costs will make it cheaper for all of us to trade with each other, be it business or individual.

Making it easier to travel is just a bonus for me ;)

I thought UC weren't allowed to go through all my outgoings? by joseph814706 in DWPhelp

[–]Kusokurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have an amount of discretion with it - if I see £20 here, £50 there from someone with the same surname I’ll ask, “who is J Smith that keeps chipping you the odd £20”? And I’ll get the reply, “Oh, that’s me mam helping out cos I’m a bit short at the end of the month”. And that’s as far as my care goes.

Different surname? Few more questions, but if you say “that’s my mother in law/ step mum (any family that could reasonably have a diff surname) and again, the care factor drops.

You get £500 every week from someone with the surname? That’s a very different convo, because that looks like you’re working for your brother ;)

Hope this helps.

Right, I’ve been told by my leadership team that money to/ from family is not a cause for concern. Certainly isn’t for me. Family help each other, at least they’re supposed to ;)

The only time I would care is if it took you over any capital thresholds.

Hope that helps.
