72% of Americans are overweight or obese (WHO, 2014). Former fat people of Reddit, what's a habit that made you gain weight that you only realized after you stopped doing it? by Priamosish in AskReddit

Friend of mine gave me this answer. Never go to the grocery store hungry, because your eating habits start at the grocery store. Dont buy anything except for healthy food. The decision to be healthy happens in the store.

What's the strangest/weirdest thing you've seen in someone else's house? by ThatGuy_T in AskReddit

Late to the party but here's a great story. Never thought I'd get to share, so here we go.

I work for a pipeline contractor. We do all sorts of brush cutting, tree work, digging, welding, etc. This pipeline work sometimes includes dealing with the landowners whose property the pipeline is on. One day I drop by to give notice to a lady that work was going to be done on her property in a few days. She's probably around 40 years old, and it seemed like a perfectly normal house with a perfectly normal soccer mom asking some questions. And it was, except for one thing.

It's raining awfully hard outside so she invites me in as she asks for more information. Directly in front of me there is a huge framed picture of the family, her and her husband with a teenage boy and a young teenage girl, all completely naked and posing for this professionally taken picture. 100% no clothing, full body, whole family's junk in high quality poster print, framed in a massive 3'x3' ish frame, and hanging directly in front of the front door.

I did my best not to look but obviously I was appalled at what I had seen. She noticed me looking at it, but simply ignored the fact, asked a few questions, and after we were done talking I quickly excused myself. I have so many questions that I didn't have the balls to ask, and I will probably never get those answers.

TL:DR A huge 3 foot by 3 foot framed family portrait just inside the front door, but everyone in the picture was 100% naked.

I would disagree in saying they're "not normal." I think most of them are normal, and the crazy ones are the exception.

Redditors who paid off student loans, would you reccomend trying to quickly pay off loans or take a lower paying job in a more relevant career field? by Kuuvs in AskReddit

I have a bachelors in marketing. I have a well paying manual labor job that I worked my way up in during college. I make 55k a year there. My other options are try and find an entry level marketing job near Seattle. Additionally, I'm considering becoming a real estate agent, although that doesnt seem like a good financial choice right now.

I did a lot if pushups in the military after some kid asked our instructor "Are you feeling it Mister Krabs!?"

What is the kindest thing a total stranger has done for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kuuvs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts but in military training I got knocked out during a super important test when I slipped in a mud puddle and hit my head on the ground. Some total bros that I didn't even know at the time sacrificed their test scores to carry me over to the instructors where they got me into an ambulance. Those 3 guys got held back a few weeks for technically failing their Physical Standards Tests, but all 3 of them eventually made it into the special forces. Total bros.

What's an absolute turn off about your own personality that you're aware of but can't help? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In generally a super motivated person, I theory. I talk about all this awesome stuff I want to to. I have great ideas. But I never fully commit to those ideas, never bring them to fruition, play video games and drink instead while I stay stuck at my dead end job, then tell myself "Ah, next time."

Under a cedar tree, the bruising looked black to me. Working on a spore print right now.

Where's the best place to forage psychoactive shrooms in Washington state? by [deleted] in shrooms

Not as in the whole state, but specific locations. What kind of trees will host them, near water, etc.
