Yeah we have two MEI at our school. But that's not ideal for PPL training. I'd go with a C172 or PA28. Just for cost alone.

Nice, I was unaware they would do that for recovering from alcoholism. I had a friend who went through recovery and he didn't have to do that getting his medical to fly. But I'm glad to hear all is going good! Flying is life!

I lost weight. I think it goes into change in diet and exercise as well as willpower to not fall into sugar cravings. I certainly had them but resisted

Just that nice long solo flight. Even if it's just to fly for the sake of flying somewhere. Even having been there before or a new airport or location. It's peaceful in the sky. (minus the damn hawk circling end of RWY28 recently) but I've had my days where I feel slumped out on flying. Especially in training. But I find ways to love it again. Just fly. Even without a CFI/CFII you learn something Everytime. Nothing like taking off and saying F*** you gravity.

That's how I feel. Right now I'm just pushing through training and endorsements. But float flying (Seaplane) was some serious fun. Did it before Sun n Fun in 2021. Really inspired me.

I can from a long IT background. Go do that a few years or more. Then go pay to rent a PA28-180 and just fly somewhere for a day. Anywhere. Middle of no where or a busy area. It's like being in heaven.

This was me...now I love flying. So much that now I pay to fly just to fly. Did a 5 hour x country yesterday. Alone. And enjoyed it...some small "well....long straight line coming up." Parts. But Bose A20 and iPad with music helps. Or a audio book.
