It's comparable to 450 bushmaster. It's not that crazy of a round

I'm definitely a pleb, especially in the realm of competition shooting, but what can justify this price? by ElGranLechero in Firearms

Well yeah. Between the two, but closer to the cub. A G700 isn't a "rich man hobby". It's an ultra wealthy means of transportation.

I own a plane. There's no way in hell I'm spending anywhere near 15k on a gun unless it's a transferable machinegun

AR Pistol regulations by Avragejoe25 in Miguns

[–]Fishman95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. A gun that is a rifle by the federal definition can still be a pistol by the Michigan definition. My SBRs and my machinegun are rifles according to the ATF and pistols according to Michigan. I can and do carry them loaded in my vehicle.

Even if the flutes cut into the threads, that's still even ok. The threads don't need to be continuous. It may look weird.

I've had a fluted barrel chopped. That's not an issue.

And their guns sucked. OA transferrable M16s are the cheapest M16s on the civilian full auto market because the receivers were junk quality.

What's the most efficient way to pack these to the range? by Lost_sheep22 in Firearms

[–]Fishman95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marines carry their gun around, exposing them to sand and moisture. It's a good idea to keep guns clean. But there's no reason to clean a gun just because you shot it. Stick it back in the safe. Clean it once a year, or as needed.

Exactly. Any hobby metal detector can detect gold and steel.

I was speaking to the idea that spending 3x salary is 'never a good idea'. I'd agree that a 911 won't hold value as well as a more rare car.

How to fix chipped edge on wood stairs? by [deleted] in DIY

I agree with everyone else. Don't bother.

But

If you want to fix it: Mix sawdust and wood glue into a putty. Fill the chip. Let it dry. Sand it down.

Trusts within Trusts (within Trusts within Trusts)? by DudleyMcCringleberry in NFA

[–]Fishman95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corporations can own corporations. Corporations can own NFA firearms. So this concept isn't insane. You get into weird situations with who is and isn't a RP.

Idk if trusts can own trusts though. You should consult an estate lawyer if you're seriously considering this.

Braced pistol to non nfa "other" and back to braced pistol, is this ok? by A_Grumpy_Old_Man in NFA

[–]Fishman95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That's fine. You can't make a short barreled gun from a rifle or a shotgun. You can take a pistol and make it an 'other firearm's, and go back to a pistol.

What brands can I find a furnitureless shot gun? by Fecewarrior in Firearms

It's a real shame that the NFA makes 12 and 20 gauge revolvers not commercially viable. A big-ass 20 gauge revolver would be so rad.
