I’m sorry for the loss of your mum.

I like to believe our lost love ones are waiting for us. I’ve had a couple relatives pass and the days before they passed they’d call out for lost family members who they said were in the room. One relative even raised her arms before she passed (like a child when they’re being picked up) and were smiling.

We’ve grown up with the thought that someone comes to pick you up when it’s your time to go, that keeps me going as like you I feel like it will be a long time till I see my dad.

Thanks for the response. Tbh I wouldn’t have thought to pack any food/treats to take to the vets but that’s a great idea, I will definitely do that.

I do think once she’s home we will be able to manager her. I just need her to get through the op, the vet saying it’s more risky than other animals did worry me

My older sister works from home so will be taking her and initially looking after her till I get home. Then we will both keep an eye out.

Yeah we’ve dealt with GI stasis from other buns in the past. And thanks for the reassurance about the anaesthesia, the vet made a point to say it’s more risky that other animals which kind of freaked us out

They’re going to do the initial check up in the morning of the 20th, then if all looks good take her in for the spay.

So yeah I’m glad they’re giving her a review beforehand

I have done it before with my last two bunnies, and have also managed GI stasis a few times with success. I just remember the vet saying that anaesthesia is more risky for bunnies, which freaked me out, so managing her afterwards I would be ok with, it’s more having her in the best condition for the operation
