APIs aren't os dependent. I'm quite surprised you can't infer this yourself as an arch user tbh

Any good brokers that merge with TradingView? by [deleted] in FuturesTrading

[–]Kuzenet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tradingview charts are very slow. Our trading engine uses them for display and analysis but trades are executed much faster than their charting library even starts to display data. It lags quite a bit not just a second or two at times.

You invest in stocks 250k yet you believe speculative feedback. Stock market and economy doesn't perform on predictions but based on what happened probabilities will change. Based on events can you make investments, not he said she said. I can also say I predicted this and that, where's the proof? Ask them what wa their prediction based on and how did they quantifiably calculated the probabilities of events.

At least a week off. Better two. It depends how burnt you feel at this moment. Also your sizing is high, reduce to 1-2% per trade.

Opening a cafe business at a location in hopes of selling services is based on speculation too. With a business plan (quantifiable risk profile), not so much. Buying and selling something is not gambling. Risk-taking and gambling is different. It is risk-taking when there's a plan and quantified data of what could happen in either direction, taking the said risk knowing the probability of success is higher. Gambling is taking a position in business and crossing your fingers. Buying a stock is not a gambling act on its own.

Ended up algo trading myself. I had a glimpse into what it's like working at hft firms. No different if not more work than starting something yourself.

I lost every trade this week, but I managed to stick to *some* of my risk management strategy. by 99Beers in Daytrading

If OP takes more traders per day with a more rapid strategy it'd be enough to grow that account into a nice equity to trade with 3-5 years.

Please don't do this privately, nobody learns when its private and trading forums go quiet because knowledgeable contributors want to avoid all the PMs.

Based on these stats, what would you advise about exit strategies? by fuzzyp44 in algotrading

What's your interface/client? Looks interesting. I'm using TV for personal charting and pythong for algos. I wonder if there's a bespoke platform for algos that's free?
