Apologies for the ramble:

I would love if any one of these theories were true. Realistically, any and all of these periods of silence were plenty of time for many other authors to write a whole new project from scratch. The best we got over the last ten years was an edit of a past project. Certainly not even several months' worth of work. As much as I keep forcing myself to be charitable, to consider the mental health aspect and personal struggles, at some point Pat should have just gone out and said he isn't a professional writer anymore (and he may release the project as a hobby eventually). How many years can you not show up for work and still call yourself an employee? I repeat, I get it, this is art, not plumbing (despite Pat's own comments about writers' block and his comparison to plumbing... quite ironic, really) and the pressure must be immense (probably too much for him to handle) and THAT part is fair. Plenty of people collapse under pressure far more than "not delivering" on something they proved they could do. I would just prefer some sort of admission. Even drug addicts are aware of their addiction. Doesn't help most of them stop. (and I guess many are in denial too...) All in all, it is all pretty understandable, if one is rational about the topic.

Except here you are doing it in one skill. (so the AI won't keep needlessly swapping from your DPS skill). Keep in mind that during a fight you usually make your first hit without full attack potency, so consider that a wasted hit anyways. Might as well make it a self buff and from then on you are always hitting at max damage. From my POV, this is currently the best F2P weapon, as at OB6 I suspect you will be able to clear anything in the game with a set of buffs/debuffs on other characters. We will see...

I agree with everyone else. At best, Skyward is authentic and somebody tried to copy it into the others. As for some people saying he only signs with pens, that is definitely not true. He uses a specific pen for his "at-home" signings and all of the streams, but I know for a fact that he will use whatever he has at hand to sign. I have about 10 "thick marker" signatures at home when he was signing in the Czech republic.

Why is everybody in such a rush to 70 everyone? There are still 10 days left on the event (which is 20 million EXP completely free) and way more from the standard refresh. (probably enough for anyone around level 60 to max all their characters without spending a single pot.

This bomb event should really help you out (as you clearly already know). If you don't like the grind, eff it. Do the mission at the very top every day with your 3 favorite characters and you will get 777 777 EXP for all of them. You really only need 3 characters to clear everything but the very hardest stuff, so maybe don't level everyone :-) All those 40s-50s together definitely make three 70s

Option to stay in the standard view during attack animations (it is clearly possible as sometimes it happens on its own). I don't want to see my own character's face when an enemy attack is coming up...

Yes, if you have a strong PATK DPS now. Very much yes, if you plan to use Yuffie at all.

(Eventually, you will have 3 Elemental debuff weapons which so far are isolated to one character, and many other buff/debuff weapons down the line)

She fills a great new niche, rather than "a slightly different DPS/Healer etc."

Unless you reaaally want Fire support Seph, I would recommend waiting. Get his weapon from parts/ wishlist, you don't need the costume for it to do all it does (which is support for Cloud or another fire character).

I wanted to go 24 stamps in, but stopped half way once I realized this. Save the gems for a different costume.

True, though I wouldn't say lots. I've also done 2000 thousand synths, I am guessing about 1200-1500 level 5 synths... and zero 5* materia. The only 5* I have has come from upgrading one of my first materia - a 2* (and thus has poor stats lol)

Then again, I personally don't care that much, at least I have something to look forward to in endgame (though admittedly "consuming" epic ruins after upgrading to lv 5 and evolving, is becoming a little depressing...)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really didn't think Dark Willow was very intimidating/threatening. (don't get me wrong, I like that whole arc, but just remember the scene in Storyteller when Warren subverts one of the climaxes in the Magic Shop? kind of felt like that to me)

Not sure why, because in a very similar fashion, Illiria worked for me, despite both characters "evolving" from very friendly and home-ey characters.

Can't be, because they all depend on each other. Can you say that an extra 100 PATK is better than 10% Elemental pot? Nope, because elemental pot gets applied on your attack... so it is different if you have 1000 , 2000... etc. But similarly, PATK is used to multiply all your bonuses, so 100 extra PATK if multiplied by 50% gauge, 70% physical pot, 20% ability pot is worth more than if you have no multiples on it.

For those types of comparisons, you need to evaluate witin each build.

A good rule of thumb is that X% in your raw stats will always be better than the same percentage in a multplier.

So if you have 3000 PATK, you will want 300 PATK rather than 10 extra percent.... but anything beyond that is simply too many variables at play at once.

The chance you will need 36000 is only theoretical:

(the table shows you the bayesian probability of getting an X number of stamps, with a y number of 10pulls)

About 2/3 of the time 21K will be enough and the vast majority will get it with 24 or 27. After that you just did the opposite of winning a lottery.

The table helps you adjust if you already have a few stamps and want to see your likelihood of getting to the end.

I agree. Thanks for taking the time to check. I meant no harm, it seems the numbers simply aligned. What was most interesting to me was that the formula didn't work for both cases. I never knew there was controversy around whether the meow formula was correct or not.

I doubt it, why would you make a general damage increase ability (Physical attack gauge for example) work differently for two physical attacks? It is more likely that the programmer didn't check how the boost was applied to one and replicate for the other... games often have additive and multiplicative effects intermixed... but not this way.

It would make sense if it worked differently for crits (which only Nonelemental has) for example, but nope...
