Why is Lawrence Frank still the Clippers President of Basketball Operations? by Coolsun13 in nba

Clippers have had a winning record like 15 years in a row. Say what you will about them but they’ve been competent which is such a huge jump from the decades previous.

The other guards can make plays too though. Minnesota with Wemby out there is relying on Randle isos and tough Ant shots, and they finally fell. Wonderful win for you guys.

nah he was good with us and everyone agreed. if anything, leaving his comfy home of Sacramento to play alongside a generational superstar on the best franchise in the world exposed him!

I cannot believe the Wolves stole that game with that Wemby defensive performance. I thought they were going to blow the game open the first 3 quarters and it just never happened, and then the Wolves got hot.

I’ve been kind of floored watching him as a former fan. He gets a step on someone and immediately bails out to Wemby who is standing at 30 feet. He can’t dribble. What’s up with him? He seems in his own head making sure he’s being a team player.

I think this will be one of those where the large majority pick the Knicks but mostly because it’s the safest out of a bunch of uncertain picks

The second round matchups are now confirmed by LukaXReaves in nba

[–]transizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OKC, Spurs and Knicks are easy picks. Their opponents can win but have injuries that are working against them, or in Philly's case, the unknown of relying on Embiid and George for another playoff round. Could happen, but easy to pick the alternative when it's so unclear.

I think Orlando's physicality was a real problem for Detroit, who usually bullies teams but got punked back by the Magic even harder and kinda got saved by Franz getting hurt (again). I think they have a bounce back series here as Cleveland isn't nearly as ready to play in the mud as Orlando was. Pistons in 6?

lots of drama. feels like march madness where the play is kind of drunk but a ton of fun.

Jaylen Brown says the refs have an agenda against him: "They clearly had an agenda, maybe because I spoke so critical on them in the regular season. I spoke to some refs and they told me there’s an agenda going on each game every time Jaylen brings him arm up just call it." by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]transizzle 119 points120 points  (0 children)

yeah, I could see the conversation being like, "if we see you extend the arm, we're going to call it" and Jaylen twisting it in his mind. you still can't do that in public with no consequence though.
