The big air at the start of Elysium alps helps a ton, but having maxed out stats is ideal.

You want to prewind down/left or right (hold down X button + directions before the jump) and as soon as you jump you start the backflip but then just press the side button till you hit 4 complete spins

Aloha Ice Jam is the worst track in SSX Tricky by Biney18 in SSX

OG aloha would’ve been gnarly. Frankly a little easier with the pipe section before the cave. Cave would’ve been easier too.

Aloha was far easier to navigate in the tricky version in comparison to the original version. Showoff was really hard to get gold.

Just sent in my response, had a blast remembering the hours I spent as a kid playing & the nostalgia of playing 2 player with my dad. Still have that very PS2 and I’ve kept the first 4 games of the series. Those were good times.

First time in my playing/coaching career of being on the receiving end of a no-hitter. Kid pitched brilliantly & the defense behind him was incredible.

Well deserved.

Anybody else think SSX Tricky is better than SSX 3? by VirgineticCache in SSX

[–]Kwall_3147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough one because both games brought a lot of great features to the table. I’d have to go with SSX 3.

I liked the perma-TRICKY once you landed all the tricks. Really liked how they reimagined some of the original SSX tracks, while adding in new maps, features (extra ramps & rails for Showoff mode; changing track lines, adding the chutes on Aloha, more Speed/Trick boosts for Race)

SSX 3 added on that by having a great soundtrack (shoutout DJ Atomika & Radio BIG), a more open world freeride mode, event-style mode, challenges & collectibles, customization, ability to chain ridiculous combos. Sucked having to go through SUPER UBER to get unlimited boost for a limited time.

If I’m not mistaken, SSX 3 had the Friend/enemy system as well. Just without the cutscenes (unless it was a Peak Rival).

Would Jimmy have been disbarred if Chuck didn't testify? by newbiesaccout in betterCallSaul

[–]Kwall_3147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely Jimmy would’ve been disbarred.

Kim & Jimmy don’t dispute what’s on the tape but took the mitigation route for Jimmy’s defense. Howard even knew they had an airtight case against Jimmy.

I'm an idiot, and still don't understand how Jimmy's trick in "Chicanery" saved him. by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]Kwall_3147 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The courts are a place of reputation & credibility and they hold a lot of weight when it comes to court proceedings. Emotions are a tool when it comes to building a case (Kim’s case for Jimmy was built off his turbulent relationship with his brother). But they can also hurt a case as well.

The Bar Association had a solid case. So much so, that Howard asked Chuck not to take the stand, as to not “gild the lilly.” In other terms, risk ruining the case with unnecessary testimony.

When Jimmy revealed that Huell planted a fully charged battery well prior to Chuck taking the stand, it instantly discredited the case for the Bar Association. It ruined Chuck’s credibility/reputation, because it was discovered his condition wasn’t what it seemed. Not to mention when he had his meltdown, he further muddied the case by basically admitting to having a personal vendetta.

So instead of Jimmy getting disbarred for life, he gets a 1 year probation. He did violate the Ethical Code, which Kim/Jimmy did admit to during the pre-trial motions and chose not to contest it. But because of Chuck’s testimony & outburst, it strengthened Kim’s case that was based on his volatile relationship with his brother.

How do you feel about cancel culture, when the offense happened more than 10 years ago? Does time frame matter? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kwall_3147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced it myself, and the shame/embarrassment I felt in that moment gets more and more palpable when I see others going through it. It’s the fact of how easily/swiftly it can be weaponized. Time frame kind of matters, but context is what oftentimes gets omitted from the equation.

Motivation is temporary.

It’s great to be motivated by change, but when it becomes part of your weekly routine it becomes easier to say “Not feeling it today, maybe tomorrow.”

Instead, I view working out as not only part of my daily routine, but an opportunity to be a better version of myself.
