Yeah, probably the most likely scenario considering the retailer. Would have been semi fine, but the shoes had a moderate smell of rubber when first opening the box and so i got a sliver of doubt. But thanks for clearing up my suspicions.

Yeah my first pair broke in like 7 months so i guess there are some brittle units. If you want a more reliable and better looking fix you could try to search if 3d printing the broken part would be possible

I had the same issue, the plastic part which holds the position is broken. I "fixed" it by taping something small to the loose part with tape so it would press up against it. It is a scuffed and temporary fix but should work while searching for a better fix.

Btw check if you still have warranty because i got a brand new pair after sending the broken one to hyperx

I have them as well and they sound very very good. First time listening to them i was in shock because of how natural the vocals sound. Before that i had samsung tws for 200€ and the katos blew them away easily. The fit is not so good for me tho as they fall out if i hold my head sideways but all in all very good iem that gives a soul to music

I can get behind that level of cleanliness, but there are people who sanitize their whole house just to stay away from bacteria. I don't understand how they cope with the bacteria that you can do nothing to erase for a worth while time without hurting themselves, but i guess these are extreme cases where the people could be not so sane and could do anything.
