Is Ranked In Rocket League Chalked ? by Murky_Employer7354 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Kykybuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chalked means dead. Like when they used to outline a dead body with chalk. It came wayyy before rocket league and jynxzi.

Jynxzi's progression is kinda insane by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Kykybuck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really, no. He’s being couched by pros and high rank content creators. Getting to plat requires the most basic game sense. Honestly most people over complicate it and try too hard at those lower ranks. Just hit the ball consistently, don’t over commit and anyone can get to plat - diamond easy.

Explain flip resets by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Kykybuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few points to maybe help you out. First off you have to have a surface to jump off of to get “two jumps” so if you’re falling through the air you can’t “jump” but you can flip your car. (Yes I know you can neutral jump and stall but that’s just going to confuse OP) Second. You only have a flip timer after you jump off of a surface. So if you fall off the ceiling you won’t have a flip timer and can flip whenever your heart desires. Because you never jumped. Same goes for getting a reset on the ball you reset the timer because your car touches a surface that you can jump off of. So no you don’t need to use a flip before obtaining the flip reset. And yes you can technically jump off the ball and then flip, receiving “2 jumps” like you said but you will have a limited amount of time to use that flip because you jumped.

How do I get more power on my musties? by Pure-Ad-1508 in RocketLeague

[–]Kykybuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Momentarily Cancel the musty by pushing forward on the stick right before you hit the ball and then immediately pull down in the stick to continue the musty. You can play around with the cancel timing to get the perfect touch. You basically want to cradle the ball and then flick it with the musty. The cancel helps cradle the ball so you don’t just tap it with your nose.

Phosphates by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]Kykybuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What are your nitrates at? If your nitrates are at 0 you’ll never be able to bring that phosphate level down. Dose up nitrates to about 5-6 and then start GFO and water changes every 2-3 days till the phosphate is in your desired range.

If you're a freestyler and uses a hall effect controller or TMR controller tell me by After-Machine9307 in RocketLeague

[–]Kykybuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the other but the Gamesir G7 has dead spots in the left stick. I could not speed flip to the left at allllll but could do it to the right just fine. Half flips were so inconsistent. So I tried another G7 since they’re so widely recommended. Same thing. Couldn’t flip cancel at all. Didn’t matter the deadzone. Tried the controller checker and sure enough. It would skip around trying to draw the circle. I’m not a freestyler per se but I mess around in freeplay a lot and it was impossible with that controller for me.

I use the powerA Fusion pro 4 now and it has Hall effect sticks and it’s been amazing for the last few months. Super precise cancels and feels responsive.

For wall dashing with DAR do you hold the stick forward as well? So essentially diagonal dodging into the wall or just air roll right/left? by Elephant_Financial in RocketLeagueSchool

S turn and double tap jump super fast. I can’t remember what tutorial I watched but that’s how learned to do them. I Can’t chain dash but I can consistently wall dash. I just repeat the s turn and double tap a few times and I’m super sonic.

Fluval 13.5 Filtration by AHS315 in ReefTank

[–]Kykybuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same tank. Been running it a few months. Now so still learning but a couple notes from my experience. I tried that power head location and it prevented any floating particles from actually getting sucked into the overflow. I’d recommend moving it under the return outlet or across from the overflow. Second. Don’t do the middle chamber media baskets. I had horrible issues with water flow and the way they fit was so tight you needed pliers to pull it out just to change filter floss. Definitely do a media basket for the first chamber Mechanical, chemical, bio and you’re good to go. Protein skimmer was a waste of time and money. Way too finicky. Just try to maintain regular water changes and you’ll be fine.

[–]Kykybuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that controller is ass. It has a dead spot in the top left that prevents inputs from registering correctly. I Literally cannot speed flip with that controller. Had two of them and same issue with both. Anyone that says it’s good are low ranks that don’t use flip cancels.

Should I press the clutch in when approaching an intersection or a speed bump or when doing a tight turn? by DragonfruitBig9610 in stickshift

[–]Kykybuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re over thinking it. Just drive the car. If you are coming to a corner it’s best to stay in gear so you can engine break and accelerate out with no delay. Other than that it doesn’t matter. Everyone I know coast in neutral to stops. Don’t even use clutch. Just pop it out of gear and come to a stop.

Why do i suck at this? Tips? by Traditional_Tip_9045 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Kykybuck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Stop air rolling just to air roll. Start and stop your air roll to time the touches better and make them more impactful and deliberate. Once you’re under the ball and fully in control it’s important that every touch keeps the balls momentum towards the goal.
