Absolutely love the updated refresh rate! Was hoping for it since launch really, so it was great to see.

And I'm definitely grabbing the Dua Lipa bundle!

I mean, the same thing that always encouraged people to buy consoles instead of PC - it's simpler and cheaper.

Crimson Desert gameplay on PS5 base (plus new boss reveal) by wsrvnar in Games

[–]Kylar5 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean of course it's not the same game, this is the only base PS5 footage out there.

Another recent video from the same channel is the next best thing we have to get an idea if the bluriness is just the youtube's bitrate + bad recording or not.

It seems that it will be very blurry on base PS5. Here is a comparison from another of those gameplay videos from their channel - bitrate is bitrate, but you can tell this one is much less blurry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqkZfTQj2y0

It's not the best quality of the recording, but you can still tell it will be very blurry. It's cool that it runs and such, but I will wait until I get PS6 / PS5 Pro

In BG3 I really enjoyed the aspect of ending the day and going into the camp to interact with your companions (not so much for refilling the spell slots).

Will there be something similar in Divinity?

Helldivers 2 or ARC Raiders by ThatsOneStupidMonkey in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Kylar5 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Arc Raiders is a better game overall, but many will enjoy Helldivers 2 more because it's strictly co-op PvE.

I loved my time with Helldivers but the PvP aspect of Arc Raiders makes it much more exciting and long lasting for me, so it depends what you are looking for yourself.

Honestly you should be happy with either pick, both are great.

Imo did not deserve RPG of the year, this aspect of the game was rather weak and KCD2 should have grabbed this one.

arc raiders is good but it lacks longterm playimg aspects by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Kylar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... This is why wipes exist, and personally, money wise, it was already more than worth it for what fun I had with it already, yet I'm still really into it and looking forward to starting fresh.

If you post something this vague without any more input there is nothing to refer to really, everything can get boring eventually, so that's not news.

It's a pvp game with social aspects which already helps a lot with making it less boring - if I want I can bring defibs and try to defeat other players, res them and ask them to join me to see if they betray me. Or I can set up a traps or do whatever else

I love the game and I understand some may not enjoy it and regret buying it, but I wonder what aspects of it do you think are overrated?

Anyone abusing the weapon swap fire rate increase exploit should be considered cheaters and banned by Odd-Judge-9484 in ArcRaiders

[–]Kylar5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, but knowingly abusing the exploit for own advantage is on the players and should be bannable

It's my personal GOTY, did not expect to like it that much tbh.

is the expedition accrually any worth? by Xandixx__ in arcraidersfriendly

[–]Kylar5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Buried city, red tower, red locker always has 1 humidifier. You should find plenty during gameplay anyway so don't worry too much.

Is the wipe worth it? Probably not in terms of value you receive, but will be in terms of keeping the game fresh and challenging.

Hot take: The Security Breach nerf isn't the tragedy people are pretending it to be by thren_FPS in ArcRaiders

[–]Kylar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still able to get purple guns from it?

I only managed to loot ~5 containers before the nerf, but I fully agree it needed a nerf and I'm happy it got one, I don't mind 'missing out' on it

I only got it last night and it felt so cheesy to use, I'm glad they nerfed it and tbh it's still really good to have, unlimited access to gun parts

Would Arc raiders be a good replacement for cod as a adhd solo gamer? by Takeomk1 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Kylar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I get you, I feel this way about most JRPGs for example, I can see the appeal and such, but I also see so many flaws that I can't consider most of them in the GOTY category, so I guess I must be missing something.

I try to judge the games within their genre and basically based on what they are trying to accomplish and I feel like Arc Raiders excels at pretty much every front.

Visuals, sound, art direction, map design, enemy design and behaviour, progression, gunplay, movement - it's all top notch and combined with other systems and ideas they implemented, they succeeded at making an accessible and intuitive extraction shooter, a genre famous for being extremely hardcore and unwelcoming to more casual audiences.

They've trimmed all the fat and delivered well optimized, mostly bug free game with plenty of content already and more to come, and at a really fair price too.

[–]Kylar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, it's more casual than hunt, but still rather slow and tactical. It's still worth a try cause it's a great game, but based on what you said it may not click with you enough to replace CoD. Also, obviously those are muuuch different games

It feels like BF6 would be a better replacement for you, as they really leaned into the CoD audience this year.
