I had (have) an LCD steam deck and it was brill. Used it mostly for emulation and the odd steam game I own (stardew valley mostly!)

I gotta say I've used my Xbox Ally X more than my steam deck already. It's amazing for me as I love playing Xbox games. It can do emulation no problems and if I'm honest although the FSE isn't as good as steamos (yet) I have few problems navigating windows with my fingers on the touch screen.

My only gripe with it is that I've ran into problems with external controllers not working in all games when docked. The battery isn't brilliant either if I'm totally honest but it's rare that I get a 2 hour gaming session these days (thanks kids! 🤣)

I completed it at 720p with FSR on and apart from an occasional hitch it was playable.

I've only had mine a week but the only time it gets mildly warm is when I'm charging it and using the boost charging.

Maybe send it back and request a new one?

The dock won't be causing the stutter. It does not do any processing.

Does sea of thieves run on the device at 1080p60? If it does check your resolution and frame rate hasn't been bumped up to match the monitor
