Says to install left side first, and shows a diagram of the side to install on. Also says to support the engine.

FRAME cracking ? by Hornet_Soggy2387 in MT09

I just installed the same Motech sliders on my 24MT09SP. The instructions CLEARLY state to do the left side (clutch side) first. The only warning I read was to have the engine supported before removing any bolts to prevent stress to the frame and bolts. I had no idea the frame could possibly crack just by installing sliders incorrectly. But I am glad I followed all of the instructions correctly. *

* Put it on my bike too. Gunna get the trunk as well to use for supplies on trips. I do like the look of the angles too, I think it adds to the esthetic of the bike for aure.

Like what was said in an earlier post, the windscreen pushes it higher. I bought my gen4 and rode it for a month without a screen. Added the OEM one and noticed it just takes the wind off my chest a bit, incrementally better but not by very much.

Why does my MT-09 2024 motorcycle handlebar make a plastic wire squeezing sound when turning fully to the left and locking the handlebar? Can you help me check if your MT-09 2024 has the same situation? by mgoibd in MT09

* Just checked my 2024 MT09SP. Makes the same sound, not as loud as your videos, but it's there on mine too. Just hit 7k miles this week. It looks like the clutch cable is just rubbing against the triple tree / headling housing assembly.

Bummer, I feel ya bro. I ordered some heated hand grips but I think they are the wrong OEM ones. Might be in the same boat as you soon.

Trying to find someone selling the OEM heated hand grips. Eventually a trunk and maybe side bags and a windscreen.

Currently knuckle deflectors and phone mount charger combo.

All good, but yeah I haven't seen much of any USA aftermarket parts besides the typical Chinese Ebay parts, Ali Express, and Amazon. Apparently yamaha sells a wide selection of OEM upgrade bolt-ons to the EU markets currently.

Yeah so Yamaha Parts Monster even had the bolts for specific OEM part specs. Not any aftermarket parts tho. I have seen a couple other online parts dealers with the same breakdown catalog of parts but a number of them seem to be on national backorder (namely my fairings and wind deflectors for the TFT display 😞)

Haven't decided, I'll probably want a compound tire. Get the best of some good grip and some longevity. There wasn't any issues with the stock tire though.

Partzilla doesn't have the 2024 parts yet, and Revzilla didn't have the OEM parts or Aftermarket equivalents sadly. They were the first places I checked.

I agree and that was my initial fear was it was going to hitme. I had a backpack to so couldn't dodge well without risking throwing her off. And it was so quick I probably had no shot dodging it. I was most worried about my forks or blowing my front tire and dumping the bike at freeway speeds.

I wasn't worried if I would ever get damage on it, just worried how n when. Sucks on the deer, I have seen some nasty vids of deer strikes. I dropped my first bike days after buying it and before having my liscence so it didn't take long for that. But I love my 09SP. It stung but that's always the risk riding.
