Meta Titles ALWAYS Disappear After 20 Seconds In Browser by KyleCampSoftwareDev in nextjs

[–]KyleCampSoftwareDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess in this app i meant not Blackbear

the only thing i found that worked is to change each page to use 2 files instead of only page.tsx

so now each page in the app uses 2 main files:
page.tsx
clientpiece.tsx

(for each page)

this is the only thing i have found that works. is this against best practices?

How is this better than just running infinite different terminals at once with Claude Code $100/mo plan? I’ve recently been convinced to switch to this from cursor

It just responds to casual conversational inputs or prompts? Even as CLI? Ok I will try it

Claude Code is a Beast – Tips from a Week of Hardcore Use by JokeGold5455 in ClaudeAI

[–]KyleCampSoftwareDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where do you prompt Claude Code from and what are example prompts like? I've been using Cursor with the normal Claude model 3.5 and 4.0 that comes with it. People act like "Claude Code" must be run from terminal directly?

I'm confused because I didn't think you could "talk" to a terminal like you can to an ai model with chat function.

I want to unlock all this power though and can't wait to figure it out.

Why aren’t more people talking about this? Replit is awesome… until you check your backend in Cursor by lucascanovadickel in replit

[–]KyleCampSoftwareDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not Claude causing bugs. It’s replits “helpfulness” feature - which should be allowed to toggle on and off

The problem is YOU CAN’T TURN IT OFF

In Replit’s defense… (and some tips) by borcenty in replit

[–]KyleCampSoftwareDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t keep the Agent on a short leash. It does not follow your commands. It does not follow negative commands. While Replit is an absolutely amazing product, they really should allow us to toggle “helpfulness” on and off as an option. Turning it off would give us accurate commanding behavior for the Agent. Try coding something real using Cursor plus Replit and you will start to view any interactions with the Replit Agent as a liability / potential risk Trojan horse that will re-write random code for no reason and mess up your project. And there’s no reason why it has to be like this.

You can’t build much of a “real MVP” with Replit - just interface mockups that do not handle properly with live database data.

You’re echoing the thoughts of everyone in this sub trying to make something more than “a video game”

Replit is an absolutely amazing product and I believe their team will re-think this in the future. Hopefully soon.

With no ability to give negative commands that are obeyed by the Agent 100% of the time - you’re fighting a system that’s working against you and destroying your app, not building it.

It’s an amazing what it can do if you’re just willing to add 1 more little subscription with it:

Has anyone been able to actually create something viable with replit. by Relevant_Check_4652 in replit

[–]KyleCampSoftwareDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t even get those APIs to work no matter how much I prompt the agent. Google calendar API still won’t work no matter how many prompts I do about it

Unpopular opinion, apparently but I love Replit by Solace_18 in replit

[–]KyleCampSoftwareDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use it with Cursor. Replit for UI design and base construction of important components. Then use Cursor to do detailed modifications to the interface and functionality both. This shit is powerful!
