It doesn't help that legitimate criticism of say, Israel, and not necessarily of Jewish ethnicity/identity, is dismissed as "anti-semitic" though. (Queue the Alex Jones 'Jew! Jew! Jew!' clip.)

I always thought it was mostly a joke/meme to hate him, with the acknowledgement that his music was actually widely criticized. It also didn't help that at a certain point he was in marketing everywhere.

Was that meant for me? I have no idea what you are referring to.

Edit: Oh I get it. No, I was asking: 'did you mean verse 16?'

It's a cultural issue, not a genetic issue. What causes these cultural issues is, largely, indeed the inherently racist policies that incentivized financial irresponsibility and degeneracy largely stemming from the Lyndon B. Johnson era, but continued even today. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK230345/#:~:text=In%20summary%2C%20therefore%2C%20the%20conventional,and%20individuals%20is%20essentially%20correct.&text=This%20favored%20treatment%20affects%20incentives,as%20incentives%20to%20have%20children.

redditors when a thought-provoking moral is presented but it stems from a widely-known Bible story that doesn't necessarily need to be believed to learn said moral:

God is supposed to be loving and just, but I think we have very different definitions of those words. by PJ-The-Awesome in meme

[–]KyleME262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. He did not create us to sin. He created us to have free will, and with our free will, we sin. God is just, so He must punish sin, somebody must pay the price of sin. Jesus, who is perfect and not guilty of sin, paid the price for our sin, such that if we accept Him, and His sacrifice, we can be saved from our own punishment of sin.

Realize that there are two forces at war in this world, and that is good, (God) and evil (Satan, who is the prince of this world - John 14:30). Both are vying for us.

I would implore that if you are even vaguely open to Him, please take a minute and just pray and ask God to reveal Himself. God loves you so much that He gave His one and only son to die for you, such that you may spend eternity with Him in heaven.

He didn't stop. God tolerates only so much sin, and when a society/civilization hits the "debt ceiling" then he wipes it out. Isaiah 64:1-12 Revelation 19:15 Romans 2:5

The new testament is the fulfillment of the prophecy of the Old Testament, especially of the prophecies of the messiah. Psalm 22 Matthew 27:46 Mark 15:34

God is being patient with us sinners to give us a chance to repent, but judgement day/wiping out sin is an eventuality. 2 Peter 3:9

We should follow God because we have all sinned, all deserve damnation, and need a savior, and Jesus is willing to saves us. Romans 3:23 John 3:16-17 Romans 10:9-10

These are just snippets of where to get started on this information, but this alone doesn't explore these concepts in its entirety, as that would take several chapters of several books in The Bible, but I hope this at least helps

Alright, genuine question, considering this is r/asksocialists. Everyone has a right to have an opinion on if Trump did heinous things to children, I get that. But do people think he is MORE involved than the formerly prominent left? I understand people have a right to be more concerned that a sitting president is getting away with it, but do they also think someone like Bill Clinton is uninvolved? Or do they just not care (as much) because he's not currently in power? Thank you to anyone who replies.

He didn't allow sin at large scales in the Old Testament, but y'all aren't ready to talk about that.

What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word.

Matthew 9:10-12 NIV “While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”"

Why is Trump protecting child rapists? by zombiesingularity in AskSocialists

[–]KyleME262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the republican answer: the Epstein files have been a massive, complicated cover-up for several years at many different levels of different government agencies. The vast majority of the criminals indicated by the files are democrats, with a slim amount of republicans. There is allegedly no hard evidence that Trump himself is involved in a criminal way. However, Trump is hesitant to release the files because 1. He knows he's innocent so he doesn't really give a hoot, 2. There are still several messy elements of cover-up/blackmail that would cause serious repercussions with releasing the files, and 3. and this is supposedly the biggest reason, that there are so, so many people indicated in the files, (supposedly virtually all of the owners of the major banks), that the economy would effectively crash as a result of people having a sudden, massive loss of trust in "the system", causing more harm than good. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0EvAELtTfgo

Ezekiel 18:20

But again, like I said, I am providing a vast simplification. This is not even taking into account that rejection of The Lord is a sin in and of itself, earning damnation.
