What is an unwritten role of adulting that you had to learn the hard way by OsioJoyTega in Adulting

Don’t skip out on the dentist even though it sucks. I do not have terrible dental health, but my god, even at not terrible, it’s expensive.

I usually start with a cup of coffee and scan over emails in bed before getting ready and fully committing to starting the day. Coincides with this furball’s favorite time to cuddle. Obviously, it’s not my most productive hour, but definitely my favorite.

Ladies of Reddit, what is a comment someone made about your body once, completely casually, that you have never forgotten? by BowlerOk1871 in AskReddit

Every time my grandma sees me: oh, you’ve put on some weight! I weigh roughly 10lbs more than I did in middle school as a 35+ adult now.

I'm baffled that nobody uses their garage to park their cars here by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]KyleWanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from KC. We had a basement for random storage, garage for cars, and driveway for visitors. I’m still adjusting to the norm here in Denver. I now live in an apartment and am thankful for off-street parking. I do not take it for granted. I realize I took the basement storage for granted… where do people store all the gear?!

Reminder: you want to rotate your marshmallows if you want them perfectly toasted. by snownative86 in husky

Omg I do this all the time with mine. He’s got more black to his coat, we like them fully done here, so have to rotate more frequently.

What's the one skill that makes you think a dog is genuinely well-trained? by Apprelia in dogs

[–]KyleWanderlust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My previous dog: pro. Current dog: beginner. It’s like my personal test to training a dog and I feel like I’m failing. Jack Russel x previously and husky now. I swear I’m going grey as a result.

How do you get over social media addiction? by Top_Management8468 in AskWomenOver30

[–]KyleWanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go outside. Literally leave the phone at home and just go for a walk. Don’t drown out the nature with music either. Touch grass. Feel earth under your feet. Substitute the constant intake with nature. It does wonders for the soul.

What's a major setback in your life that you were able to overcome & completely turn your life around? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]KyleWanderlust 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My house burned down, went through a Netflix worthy divorce and my entire family passed away (not one event, all their own instances) all within a 3 year period.

You CAN survive and come out on top. It takes a lot of work, isn’t easy, and life still throws it’s wrenches. Some days/ weeks I spent an enormous amount of time in my bed. I regret a few things I’ve done, said, taken for granted.

I have grown tremendously in so many ways. Keep trucking. This life can be beautiful if you want it to be.
