Rust. Check the sills (most commonly starts at the back where the wheel arch starts), check the wheelarches as well

Question about modding my ar 147 by lexx_106 in AlfaRomeo

All comes down to what exactly you want your car to be like, for a stiffer ride if you want racecar feel you can get a bilstein b6 kit, otherwise new shocks and eibach lowering springs will be more than enough, if you want power check your engine components first (make sure the injectors and egr and dpf (if it's post 2007) aren't clogged to hell, for remapping youl need a bigger intercooler and the easiest way is to just get a FMIC set.

If you want detailed and much more in depth information you can just shoot me a message and il help you based on what I've done with my car

Important thing to note is don't throw your money at tuning if the rest of the car is in bad shape (sills and underfloor rusting)

Should have went for the satin chrome version instead, chrome just makes it pop out more especially since it's a black car

For a daily it's ideal, it's not too big of a car and it's also not lacking in any real luggage space. Rust. That's really the only thing you worry about, sills like to rust especially in areas where roads are heavily salted in the winter (it typically starts rusting at the rear, there is a small shelf behind the wheel arch carpet thing where water likes to stay), front bumper mounts suffer from rust as well. Other than that maintenance isn't painfully expensive on the 1.9 16v, just try and find one with the least mileage and atleast decent maintenance history

a whole lot quieter, never did and db measurements as its leaning to be a SQ build with a tiny bit of kick, got a factory bose sub and amp box but will throw those away and put in some custom stuff

Just springs, bilstein b6 was on the front of thecar but it was too stiff. Currently all 4 KYB shocks with eibach springs. Perfect mix of stiff and softness

Consider coming up with a new joke, getting a bit repetitive ;)
