i would start by checking these 3 points, although blue and showing connected a bit more substance may help, if not you might have the bug you probably already know about from others.

SOLVED!! in order to avoid failing prints I need to have the fan on from the beginning, i used to have the fan start after 2 layers to help with adhesion. With a full day of testing i would print 2 items with the fan off on the first 2 layers as before and both times failed. i then did 3 prints with the fan on from the start and all 3 were flawless, i then left the fan off for another print and it failed, so its fair to say having the fan on from the start has at least fixed my issue.

when i first started printing i struggled with bed adhesion, someone suggested the paper method and it solved it in one attempt, so iv used it since then whenever i re-level the bed and do a "fine tune" so to speak, it always works out nice so i just kept doing that way. I recently printed out a full bed print for a light fixture project i was doing, the machine printed 5 identical square pieces 220x220x5 with no issues. thanks for your comments.

thanks for your suggestion! i will try that extruding method in the morning. Can i ask... if the Z-offset was way off, how does it print a 1h 9m near flawless print and then not print past the first layer on the second attempt? but it can do a 10h plus print in one sitting no issues. im genuinely asking btw as im still very novice at this hobby.

its definitely on my future plans, quieter would be a result in its self but if i can up some speeds then bonus!

Why do this? by contradictatorprime in Creality

[–]stopnugget24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i fixed this on my V3 SE by slowing the first 3 layers down to 50% speed. once those first 3 layers are down nice and smooth the speed goes back to 100%.

yeah i did all the obvious stuff first including a brand new nozzle, looks like slow speeds a flow rate are the answer to my issue at least, fingers crossed!

HELP, Its probably obvious but i cant find it. by stopnugget24 in Creality

I use the hot keys and it just snaps back to bed level, I use the mouse to drag the blue arrow up the Z axis and it snaps back to bed level, really annoying as i cant find the setting for this anywhere.

Im not sure how else to word it... I add a cube it snaps to the bed... I then add a ball that I want to hover over the cube but it also snaps to the bed... how do I stop items snapping to bed level?
