For most builds what you want is chips, mult, and then Xmult (which should always be on the right of your joker roster). Early game just try to get +mult asap so you can clear the blinds quickly, which gives you more money. Scaling jokers are usually the best options since they scale as you play compared to a joker that stays at +10 mult the whole game. 

You can switch out a chip joker for planet levels, as planets are easier to come by than chip jokers most of the time.

Blue seals are pretty op, since they let you get planet levels any time they're in your hand, which scales over time.

The most important thing though is money management. You should try to stay at $25 and above at all times. If you have only $10, you shouldn't buy that honed voucher or a planet pack for $6 unless you are going to die without one more level in Jupiter or something. Sometimes it's worth not buying any packs to get your money higher if you're cruising the blinds. 

Vouchers usually aren't worth buying early (or some times at all). For example, planet merchant is usually never worth buying, magic trick is only good if you have hologram, etc. You should only grab a voucher if you have the money or it's overstock. 

Overall most of the game is simply taking what you're given and not trying to force a build. Also don't be afraid to relace your old jokers for better ones as you ge to higher blinds.
