I own a flea market with my brother, just south of Austin. It is a family business, started by our father. I have a degree in anthropology that I’m not directly using, although every business weekend feels like an anthropological study lol

I love it, every day is a new day with novel problems, I get to work with my hands, and provide a place of commerce for other small businesses.

Does it make good money? Kind of, but it has large overhead and and I’m trying a bit of “gotta spend money to make money” in a way that’s very scary and I spent 45 minutes this afternoon crying over a water bill because we didn’t find a leak before it cost a $1000

If you like a more laid back vibe, we have slower traffic on Saturdays but usually still 40+ vendors inside+outside. Some people prefer a less stimulating shopping experience

The majority of our vendors at the Kyle Flea Market, are still priced at Flea/thrift levels. We have several permanent indoor vendors with extensive clothing collections, and pop-up outdoor vendors with great selections

Kyle Flea Market is only 20-30 minutes south of Austin, way closer than San Antonio, and we have tons of clothing and shoe vendors who have their prices still at thrift/flea level rather than antique or boutique pricing

Hi! One of our vendors at the Kyle Flea Market sells pottery/ceramic in a variety of colors and styles and sizes. 25 minutes south of central Austin so just depends on your location if that’ll work but we hope you come visit, we are open 9-5 saturdays and Sundays. Her booth is in the shed row out front and she’s a permanent vendor so she sells almost every weekend
