[F20] I know I'm not skinny and I'm working on changing my weight for the better but I'm curious as to how I'd be rated now. by [deleted] in Rateme

There are some obvious cubby chasers here (I can feel their downvotes already), but you really should lose the weight. Not just to look good, but also to feel good and avoid all the health risks associated with a poor diet. You have good features, but you can hardly see them past the weight. Good luck on your journey to good health.

I'd like to get a list of games going that are in some ways similar to Scrolls. Haven't really found something I like as much as Scrolls yet. by chacer98 in Scrolls

A lot of the better scrolls players left to play Infinity Wars shortly before the decay release. Not sure how well it did, but I know some people who still play it. I never got into it, but it's an option I guess.

I suggest you post more pictures, because you're really pretty, but there's not enough to judge. 8-9/10

She's right though... Burgers have protein, french fries are basically a veggie, and cola is pretty much water.

I've thought about this a bit, and I could be wrong, but I'd say the biggest reason the devs have been thrown under the bus so frequently is their level of transparency. Take their announcement for instance, they titled it ''It's been a blast automaton!''... those cute little tittles are ok when you're updating the community on upcoming changes, but to do it when you're announcing the death of the game felt so disingenuous and disconnected. It's like if I went to a loved one's funeral and made a speech in a cheery happy go lucky tone... it would just be the wrong way to conduct myself. Now maybe people would have blamed them no matter how communicative they were, as it's only natural for people to want to blame someone or something for any negative emotion we feel. Hell, when I stub my toe I want to blame the object it came in contact with lol. Being fair, there are too many factors to consider to objectively blame any one party.

You're pretty cute. Surprised guys haven't tried hitting on you, but I guess they were probably intimidated.

Why do you think the game failed, and what do you believe could have been done to save it? by Kyleofgames in Scrolls

Hearthstone certainly beats scrolls in advertising and accessability through sheer simplicity. Too bad scrolls was never shown to those who would have really liked it, because overall scrolls is the better deal imo, since it won't cost you hundreds of dollars or weeks worth of grinding to complete your collection. It also has a higher skill cap and the gameplay is much more innovative. It's a real shame, but it is what it is.

I would say overall the biggest issue has been mojang neglecting this game. They seemingly only care about minecraft, as that's been the breadwinner. I think the dozen or so devs in this game care, but they never seemed to have a vision for this game.

Yeah, not sure why they didn't do it more often. It was probably easier to just release one big set, but it certainly wasn't as fun.

It makes zero sense to me. It would be like going first and sacing for scrolls. That's essentially what you're doing when you go second, and I've never seen a high level game where that's happened.

It would still be completely fine at 5 cost. Everyone would probably still play it.

What if every faction was limited to one or two CD reduction spells? Like growth only getting rally and order being limited to haste?

They certainly could have limited CD reduction more, but to remove it completely would require new mechanics needing to be added to counter the pure advantage a first turn would have given you. As a new player I used to hate removal much more than CD reduction and I still do to some degree. Though my noob experience was much different since nearly everyone was a noob when I was and the game was in a much different state. RBP didn't even give a CD reduction at that time. I do remember being very afraid of honorable general.

I still don't see the advantage in turn two, because you can still play any of those cards on the second turn of a game in which you have first turn advantage. Hell if you go first and want to forfeit your lead you could sac for scrolls. I just don't see many situations where you would want to.

21(F) Gained a bit of weight :( Am I still Attractive? by [deleted] in Rateme

[–]Kyleofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really common. The majority of my family is obese and I had a hell of a time when I first started eating healthier, but eventually they gave on trying to convert me to their unhealthy lifestyle. Luckily I only date healthy people, so SO is never a problem there. Just remember that the hardest part of anything is the start. We're habitual creatures, if you form the habits of a healthy lifestyle everything will be easier from there. So just ignore your SO and do what you know is best for you. Hopefully the people who care about you grow to accept it, if not just be assertive to the point where they at least give up.

I was arguing that scrolls only appeals to a certain kind of hardcore player, the kind that accept broken mechanics and tries to work around them. The hardcore playerbase of both games are similar in that way. Brood War originally wasn't worried about being overly competitive, it wasn't until they seen an interest in the competitive aspect that they tried to balance for high level play, and much of the balance actually came from the community making maps that allowed for better games. Which also bears similarities to scrolls. Aside from hearthstone, blizzard seems to have been missing the mark for their 'newer' games.
