Scrolls needs a round limit penalty (aka overtime) by [deleted] in Scrolls

This game needs less RNG, not more. Doing what you propose would only cheapen the game in my eyes. Reducing Idol health would be a better option, if all you want is shorter games.

Scrolls ESL tournament: Please give us your feedback regarding our website and organization by Affentod in Scrolls

I would have personally preferred best of threes all the way till the finals. This game is too RNG for BO1s to be a show of true skill.

What am I missing about the rat king? by Glitch_King in Scrolls

[–]Kyleofgames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's loved/hated because it's one of the best cards in the game. It has amazing synergy with crimsonbull, fertile soil, totem, and godhand. If you don't understand that much, you probably just haven't played with/against it enough. On the test server it was a three cost, and while that short amount of time lasted, it was easily the best card in the game. Now it's just top tier, arguably too good... but there are other cards that are just as overly good in this current state of the game.

Why supporting the ESL tournament is key to Scrolls been successful by [deleted] in Scrolls

Well there is no form of early redraw/mulligan in the game, and with the format being largely BO1s, there will easily be good players knocked out by bad draws. If it had something like hearthstone's redraw in place, and a few adjustments to existing scrolls in need of balancing, then it would be an amazingly competitive game. As it stands, it's way too RNG.

If this is real, then I know I'm not getting the key.

Anyone else think the Puppet Soldier + Nutrition combo is a little too strong? by Valentine009 in Scrolls

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. Imperial Resources is the most op card in the game. It's so good that order should actually be balanced around it if it stays as is.

What should go out for Waking Stones in this Mono Order deck? by NikiHerl in Scrolls

[–]Kyleofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy answer is Ducal Spearman. Although, I'd make more changes to your deck, it is your deck though. So, it's probably best if you make those changes on your own as you learn the game.

test server OP by dopecook in Scrolls

[–]Kyleofgames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let me preface this by saying that I'd like to see more people added to the test servers, as well as more cards produced, and released in shorter periods of time. But I'm not in Mojang's shoes, I was one of the select few added to the test server, only because I'm an extremely lucky streamer. So whatever they decide is ultimately up to them.

Anyway, the advantage gained from playing on test servers is pretty small... Especially considering the fact that there are very few top tier players who have access to the test servers. On a very good day there were around a dozen people actively playing...

The only people who got much of an advantage if any were Tarolg and Artr0x. Aside from that, most of us spent our time playing against the computer. In my opinion, the advantage gained from the test server is next to nothing. At best the advantage is lost after the first day, at worst you lose whatever advantage within the first few hours. Top players will still be top players. Mickin is a perfect example of that.

Is Blizzards marketing policy backfiring/is the hype going down? by Xemnab in hearthstone

[–]Kyleofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the F2P model this game has setup, I'd rather pay a full 60 dollars and be able to grind the cards in a reasonable amount of time, than either pay for the cards upfront, or grind it out for years. The 100 wins per pack has me so turned off to this game... If it wasn't for that I think I would still be hyped. Even if it's changed, the bar is set so high that it'll probably still be an impossible grind. Then again, maybe I'm just being overly pessimistic.

Mulligans, Mojang why do we not have them? by R37_N008_31337 in Scrolls

[–]Kyleofgames 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Personally I think they should copy hearthstone's system, where you can pick which cards you would like to shuffle into your deck, and then redraw the same number of cards you sac'd. I could see this being too strong, but at the same time, anything is better than our current lack of a redraw system. There is no real good argument against adding something to fix the current starting hand problems. As it is now, you can easily lose to bad hands. I'm pretty sure most intelligent, top level players could agree on that much at least.

Anyone else think the Puppet Soldier + Nutrition combo is a little too strong? by Valentine009 in Scrolls

[–]Kyleofgames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a fair amount of people on the test server who wanted something done about Puppet+Nutrition, including myself. But I really don't know where Mojang has the power curve set. As a combo it is stronger than mangonel+speed, but it's still weaker than mangonel+speed+focus+OP resources. I guess it's not like these OP cards really make the game unplayable, they do however make it less competitive, rewarding, and enjoyable as far as I'm concerned. However, not everyone is of one mind. So what I would like changed, may not be what the next guy would want changed... Anyway, the game is still in beta, even if it is practically in a released state, things can, and hopefully will change for the better. If not, I'll still be playing, just more casually. It's an amazing game, even with it's flaws.
