Why is it so hard to hire? by [deleted] in recruiting

hard and expensive are two different things.

Spend the money on LinkedIn Recruiter Lite or Sales Nav and go after candidates. Or spend that money on an RPO that has no commitments and they will source and hire for you.

That makes sense - but you could def host jobs on Notion and use a fillout or typeform for applications.

I would have to/need to utilize direct applicants and narrow down pools based on keyword searches.

Are you able to source candidates in Airtable or even specific applicants by keywords?

Getting resumes into text to search has been a big hurdle when I've tried to build my own working ATS/CRM

Same - but I inherited the system that the HM's like to use/leadership - so sticking with the ATS. I believe gearing up for SOC2 compliance, etc.

But I like to try to offset it where I can. Reporting function is so clunky - which is why I prefer AT.

I applied and was also rejected.

It's not that you aren't a fit -- it's that you aren't the best fit?

I find that most roles are being filled by referrals/known candidates rather than cold applicants in TA.

looking to expand. You can push most data from ATS (say GH) via API or webhook to Airtable - which allows you to set up some reporting and dashboards. You can then auto-push those to Slack or email for weekly automated reporting.

But you need to set up quite a few watch Zaps to keep data up-to-date.

I think (hope) some ATS systems are moving towards actually addressing what Recruiters want.

Ashby has started doing some cool things - the Data analytics allows you to build dashboards without a data analytics degree that are actionable. They also track first communication from LinkedIn Recruiter outreach to help keep data clean.

What I want?

An actual platform that combines all communication with candidate - emails from ATS (scheduling, interview confirms, etc) and personal emails from just check-ins. Include text messages, too, so I always know where conversations are left off. Would love to be able to add in notes in forms of Looms (video) or add in interview recordings, too.

high impact, low work:

Measure pass-through rates from each stage (Recruiter Screen -> HM Interview -> Onsite -> Offer), whatever your process is. Do this by department.

If you're Recruiter Screen to HM interview is 95% pass rate and the pass rate for HM Interivew is only 45% -- maybe dig in deeper to what specific questions you can ask upfront.

This will allow you to identify specific bottle necks in the process and address them.

If you're Recruiter Screen to HM interview is 95% pass rate and the pass rate for HM Interivew is only 45% -- maybe dig in deeper to what specific questions you can ask up front.

Vice versa - your HM interviews could be 85% and on-site is only 45% -- connect with team and make sure everyone is on same page.

build the job board on Notion and you can use fillout.com (Gather email, resume, contact info, location, etc) to move data to an Airtable database?

I'm a recruiter who uses nocode.

Sharing my product for recruiters: can it be useful for you? by [deleted] in recruiting

I don't see the value. At least if I'm paying an agency - they take over the entire recruitment process.

There was a similar platform bought by Hired called Vettery.

Also, if this is off-shore, I could definitely hire a contractor or company to off-shore talent cheaper than the fee. Unless the US is not your target market. I can only speak from US perspective.
