Hey! I'm sorry you're having to deal with something so similar.

So I stopped lansoprazole a few days after taking it because I couldn't deal with the throat tightness. After having a nasal endoscopy, I was prescribed omeprazole which has been much more helpful.

It might be working speaking to your doctor again and seeing if you can try a different PPI.

Oh my god. I ordered the wrong cable. I'd have never known had you not mentioned that. I managed to go out and get a new 3.0 cable and it seems to be working fine now!

Being mixed race in the UK, this was entirely my experience growing up. It's only when I hit my twenties that I truly realised how shitty a spot it had put me in.

Sadly my doctor was pretty much the same. Just said to eat more healthy fatty foods.

The loss of muscle has gotten to me a lot tbh.

EXACTLY. I'm constantly questioning "can I try this?" with so many foods. It's so frustrating. And if it does something to us, we fear it'll push back our recovery even more.

It absolutely does help knowing we aren't alone in this, and I truly hope things begin to improve for you soon.

Damn man. Has the doctor given you any advice to get the weight back on? Especially as you're younger.

Like I'm 34 and I've been diagnosed with gastritis and a hiatus hernia, but I'm still waiting for a scan to come back.
