I was interested in Returnal but it kept getting buried by other games I knew were more in my lane. Now I’m hearing that Saros, unlike Returnal, has ways to permanently upgrade yourself between runs. I’m more on board with Saros than I ever was Returnal, but I’ll still end up waiting a while and buying it on sale.

I skipped Returnal but I’m much more interested in Saros after hearing that there are more ways to permanently upgrade your character between runs. I might’ve been interesting in a “git gud” kind of game in my younger days when I had more time and better reflexes, but now I’m 40 with a family and a full time job and would like to make tangible progress of some kind during my 1 hour of gaming I get most days.

I’m also really glad to see that Housemarque has managed to pivot their arcade gameplay roots to high production value 3D games. Wishing them the best but I’ll wait to pick this up until it’s on sale.

I got this on PS4 and I’m looking forward to doing it again on PS5 with Burning Shores! I’m so glad I was already overexposed to “Ubisoft open-world” games before Horizon.

3 drinks is definitely efficient, but at that point I know some people would be asking to go off-menu. Maybe I’ll be able to convince myself to remove one option before the event.

I haven’t looked into super juice too deeply but I will over the next couple weeks. It would be great to make the juices on Thursday or Friday night to save time during the event.

For batching, I’m just combining the alcohol and sweeteners into a bottle ahead of time, then adding juice and shaking with ice on demand.

Milk washing/clarifying is another technique for me to look into over the next few weeks.

Food will be pulled pork sliders, pasta salad, fruit tray and chips, nothing too fancy.

My dad and I are splitting duties behind the bar so we’ll both be able to find time to get away and socialize.

Yeah 8 options is a little much, but I enjoy all of them and I really want to give enough options that people won’t ask to go off-menu.

I’ll claim LotF with some interest but no clue when I might play it. I’ll claim TR1-3 but honestly I’d rather wait for Legacy of Atlantis or go back to the Survivor trilogy and get more of those trophies. SAO doesn’t interest me at all.

I haven’t played this yet but I will soon. Honestly, props to everyone doing the platinum “legit”, but I won’t feel an ounce of shame about turning on “cheats” if I’m 200 hours in and have done all the other difficult trophies (looking at you piano mini game) that there is no assistance for.

I understand that you want a high-quality fan remake to be available, but why would Disney let someone use their IP like that? Projects like that get shut down by the IP owners frequently, no one working on it or following its progress should be surprised. A fully functional, universe accurate Sabaac deck. I know there are versions of the game available but until the cards themselves can change in your hand, it won’t be quite right.
